How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

It all depends on the destination, this one was build at the Baja plant so not a far drive to where is going.

Pick this up last night. Add on already completed: LED dome lights and lic plate lights, black overlays on 4x4 V6 and steering wheel Toyota sombrero, black Tacoma inserts.

 

Temp VIN stopped working 3 weeks ago. Salesperson says there’s no permanent VIN and eta is/was yesterday. Does she just not want to check? There has to be a permanent VIN, right? Or at least the eta should have changed?

 

Yes, based on what everyone ( including the awesome @Rod03 ), if your temp VIN no longer works, it has been built and a permanent VIN was issued. That process, AFAIK, is nearly instant, although it can take 1-2 days for the system to get caught up and for the VIN to show up for the dealer.

but not 3 weeks... Did you check the dealer's website and/or AutoTrader to see if a truck spec'd like yours is coming in?

 

go on your dealer's web page, look for the truck you ordered they may have updated it showing the vin...In my case it showed my truck twice one was with the temp vin the other with permanent vin both had the same dealer's stock #

A lot of dealers are saying that they aren't getting permanent VIN's due to an update in the system. Depending on where you are ETA's are not correct either.

I believe someone stated that their dealer didn't have a permanent VIN for the truck, and it just showed up. Some of us have had a VIN for months, and the truck hasn't arrived. We are all pretty much in limbo.

I would ask the sales manager if you aren't getting anything at all from your sales lady though.

 

Toyota dealer I spoke too last week told me the same, they received cars that belong to them but they had no paperwork it was coming when it did

Congrats! I’m waiting on a Barcelona Red to be delivered - my first time having anything other than grey/black/white so I keep having reservations about it - but then I see it in pics like this and it looks so good! Enjoy!

 

The red was going to be my next choice if I couldn't get the mag grey metallic. Both of them look awesome in the sun.
