Simple Green is a all purpose cleaner and degreaser.

Many years ago we would wash our hands with simple green to remove any smelly contaminates before touching our fishing poles, reel and line. Also when handling baits and lures ,wash before and after.
They claim you will catch more fish. Can’t say it does or not. But we believe it.
I still carry a bottle of Simple green, when fishing.
Today not sure if the fish smells more then me.

There are stories of using WD-40 on baits , they say you will catch more fish? We try, don’t do it.
Using WD-40. On our fishing rods and reels , made us feel safer to use it.

Actually, most degreasers are a stronger version of regular soap. It'll get stuff out that regular soap can't. A lot of people mistaken "degreaser" as just for removing grease though. This is my favorite degreaser made my meguiars.

Now I know I can use regular soap instead of a degreaser to wash my hair? “ just kidding”

I've had mine for 18 years (14 with my Gen 2 and then 4 with my current Gen 3). I rinse it with car wash when I wash the truck and have never had an issue. Good luck.

I'm in Colorado and have had my mat for about 2 years, not slick at all and it's exposed to the elements 80-90% of the time. Hopefully you just need a good cleaning.

At least Toyota bed mats do not warp.
There was a YouTube video of a Hawaii guy, will be installing a bed stiffer. Interesting part is , he visit his friend at a Toyota dealership and was shown (mentions over 50) cracking bed liners in the back. I think over exaggerating?

He is now a believer for bed stiffer. He think this is not enough. He saw too many crack beds from people loading heavy construction goods. Tiles, rocks, machinery, etc. cracking the Toyota truck beds.
when so far to say Toyota needs go back to a metal bed. This was interesting to me, his thoughts.

Does Toyota warranty the truck bed liners?

It doesn't matter what the bed is made out of... if it is miss used, or overloaded.. it won't hold up...

    Geez idk.
As far as heavy stuff in these beds, i've had 1300 lbs of concrete bags, and everything from a large commercial ac unit to riding my lawn tractor in there. I haven't looked under the bed mat for cracks. At least nothing on the bed sides i can see yet.

Often people will toss/ throw things in the bed, it is a truck. Older trucks had a metal bed. Toyota its beds are made of a plastic composite..
When I work for Lowes, we sold lots plastic wheel barrels. We had many returns with cracks in the beds. We try to sell the metal ones , but plastic is cheaper and lighter.

I like the old style pipe racks use in many pick-ups. Just bolted to the bed. Toyota very difficult to do this, I seen one or two done, but not sure how secure.
They sell a metal pipe rack that need extension to bolt theses metal pipe racks to the bed anchors location.

Those aftermarket one ties into the bedside, Thule, etc. Are ok , can’t beat the old school one piece pipe racks.

When we loaded the cement bags in the bed at home cheapo, some bags kind of got dumped in as far as forward as they weren't light. Truck was down on it leafs the entire trip, but at least i didn't feel any bad chit happen.

People do overload there trucks, I seen leaf spring repair kits , when off roading the springs breaks. Two pieces of metal bars with U-shape bolts . Made more for the single leaf near the eyes.

Hawaii we have “rock wall “ builders , using the local lava rocks to make walls. They throw the rocks in the bed when loading. These rocks make a very nice beautiful wall.
