Looks like several people on other forums (RAV4, Corolla, etc.) have tried disabling it by either pulling the fuse, or pulling the main wire harness and jumping a wire to keep power to the front right speaker (speaker/Bluetooth is physically integrated). I’m wondering if there is a simpler solution. Has anyone tried just unplugging the antenna wires? Wrapping module in RF shielding?

I don’t want Toyota or, more importantly, anyone who hacks Toyota to be able to access my location, vehicle speed, brake and throttle rates, and every other piece of telemetry info the truck records. All I need is some evil ex-gf to find my location in the middle of the desert and take me out in my sleep lol. Jokes aside, I really don’t like all the creepy tracking stuff.

Welcome to TW. There are lots...and lots...and lots of threads on this topic. You might give the search function a try.

Thanks. I’ve read through a dozen or more of them. No one has talked about what I mentioned above.

Ahh ok. I know people have tried pulling the fuse and there's been mention about it taking out the mic for hands-free calling. I don't recall anyone talking about the RF shielding, although there were a few cool tin foil hat memes :)
