That was certainly a concern. This video is the second time I scared the same fawn. I saw the general area it had run to the first time, so I was going really slow and had the camera ready when I got to where I thought it might be.

They are terrible around here. My wife had Lyme's Disease last year. I have picked at least two out me as they burrowed in over the last few years, and I check myself always after being out in the yard or woods. My dog gets them on her all the time. She takes a tick medicine that kills them. I check her multiple times a day, as she is in and out. Last week there was one on our counter. I don't know where it came from, unattached like that, just walking across the counter.

Ticks are such little suckers too. They can really wreak havoc on your health. I just wonder why we didn't get Lyme's disease to the same degree years ago? We were out in the yard and woods constantly and I don't know anybody who had it. I just start hearing about maybe 10 years ago?

i had one embedded in my scalp when i was maybe 7 or 8. didnt find it until the next morning when my mom was fixing my hair. sucker was buried to deep they couldn't get it out, had to take me to the doctor to have them remove it. they had to numb me up and took a scalpel to my head.
it was supposed to be send off to a lab to be tested for rocky mountain spotted fever but it got lost in the mail. doc told my parents just to keep an eye on me for any strange symptoms. back then they didn't know much so it could be a week or a month before i exhibited any symptoms. freaked my parents out.
hated the little bastards ever since.
