Thinking about either a 2022 Taco or 2022 Tundy, need advice

I don't think they are accepting new members.

Toyota has to be evaluating if they will be able to sell new trucks to buyers.

So far, I don't think Toyota has done a good job with the TGNA-f vehicles.

The Land cruiser 300 is a dud, the LX600 is a dud, the Tundra is a dud, and the Sequoia, which is the most exciting of of the bunch, still seems like it's lacking something.

Add in the reliability problems, and I don't understand what direction Toyota is headed.

The new RX already gave us the mid-size TNGA-F engine options. They all suck.

The Tacoma, 4runner and now even the GX have large enthusiasts fan bases, and the sell really well. They better not mess this up either.

 

The new Sequoia looks like the previous generation Grand Cherokee, not that it's a bad thing. Seems a strange direction for Toyota, and it's got the same motor Toyota copied from Ford for the Tundra.

The most interesting thing Toyota has going is the Corolla GR.

At least Ford increases horsepower

With The RX and now highlander, they got rid of the V6, but replaced it with a lower output Turbo 4. They decreased the horse power for the RX.

The RX is a top selling vehicle, and they cut the horse power.

If the RX gets 275hp on 91 fuel, we can only expect lower HP for the Tacoma 4th generation. We're getting 240 to 250 HP on the next generation Tacoma. Based on the test mules going around, it's going to be even bigger and heavier.

 

The only negative 2022 Tundra feedback I’ve heard thus far is that the MPG is well below what was advertised.

and Toyota might actually have some competition with the new GM and Ford midsize trucks. GM already had a more robust offroad variant with the ZR2, and Bison options on the current Colorado. Ranger long bed, and Ranger Raptor will also offer something, Toyota had no alternative to compete with. I already see plenty of new Frontier SVs haulin ass out of the auto part store parking lots, oh and the fuel efficient Mavericks that are not in the same class as the other midsizers.

 

Who cares about mpgs? Those mark ups, on a truck that is plentiful that's another story.

 

Yea, I don’t think things are shaping up to be quite as bad as this dude says.

 

Are Tundras in ample supply?

 

There's enough of them that there's no reason to pay a mark up.
