Changed my cabin air filter with the Fram True Air CV10285. Don't recommend this, it doesn't fit in our cabin air boxes well. I really had to bend and shove to get it in the box.

Need to remember not to buy this Fram filter again and try a different brand.

Dealing with Walmart once was bad enough. I wasn't willing to drive that far (it's not close to where i live) and deal with that place again. Also, i already had everything out of my glove box.

order 2 OEM ones from Amazon or something. Keep one or two in stock at home. Also how much stuff do you have in your box for it to be a problem? lol

Why not just send it back and get the correct one?

I’ve had a good experience using the K&N cabin air filter…and by good meaning I can just rinse it off and stuff it back in fits OK but more importantly never have to buy the paper ones once a year.

According to the book in Walmart. This was the correct one.

Edit: Looks like the book was incorrect. The Fram website is saying CV10374 was the one I needed. I'll return it another day and get the correct one.

I'm in the process of moving and may not end up keeping my Tacoma.

Good suggestion, and I usually have OEM spares but didn't have any more for the cabin filter. Considering I may not be keeping my truck much longer I don't want a bunch of maintenance extras.

It was a busy weekend I Installed Kilmat 80mil sound dampening material on the front doors (inner and outer skins). Upgraded the front door speakers to Kicker CS series 3 ways, and installed the Subaru Kicker tweeters in the dash. Also installed a Sony XMS400D 4 channel amp behind the dash using a t@c0tunez harness.

I also installed my VLEDs footwell lights. And finally, I installed the FBC DIR (disable in reverse) license plate light harness that I've had sitting in the garage for a few months (it took 5 minutes... I should have done it a long time ago).

I still need to install the sound deadening material on the rear doors and install the rear door speakers.

I picked up a TopperEZlift after a ton of research. I camp out of the back of the truck and have had a sleeping platform in there since about December 2018. It was time for Version 2.0 - more headroom and the ability to use the truck as a truck on occasion was desirable. I pulled out my old platform and replaced with BamBeds (see my review, I love them).

For a variety of reasons, I am not interested in an RTT. I decided on the TopperEZLift, and because it was going to be a PITA to install (I have no shady or level place to work on the truck at my home in southern NV), I had it installed by St George Topper in St George UT. They were amazing. Super communication and attention to detail - they spent a lot of time before and after the purchase talking to me about it. I'm really pleased with the fit and finish of this setup. There are a couple minor tweaks I can see (adding keepers so the windows stay rolled up neatly while unzipped; a total OCD personal preference).

With that installed, I needed to modify the BamBeds to fit around the actuators and connection for the EZLift, so I modified the boards and added carpet so that I don't bang them up too bad with all the gear, propane tanks etc. The carpet tiles adhesive needs a little help as it dries so fast here, but overall I'm pretty happy and feel like this is Posh Truck Glamping. This set up will let me work truly remote and in comfort while out hunting, caving, camping etc (thus taking fewer vacation days and thus being able to get out more!). I'll be out for about 10 days soon in NV and ID - that will really be a nice test!

Spent the day installing 5160’s and 6112’s with my 5 year old son. I’ve had this truck two months and I’ve already done wheels/tires, sliders I got from a member here, some cosmetic stuff, and now suspension. I am done throwing money at this truck….

…except for the anytime camera kit that’s on the way. Spent Saturday at Hollister Hills SVRA, and talked myself into needing a front facing camera. Then I’m done. Really.

Fantastic choice on the camper height we love the extra space. Especially sleeping in it!
