No parts of it are left in there. Just the stripped drain bolt. You’re over in Ashburn? That’s about 45 minutes from where I’m at so not too far of a drive at all. The only thing is that it’s completely rounded inside but I suppose if you weld it then that doesn’t really matter, right? I have allen wrenches we could use? I’ll gladly sacrifice one of those if it’ll get that damn bolt out!

It doesn't matter if its rounded. I will dig for a picture when i swapped to the Lexus plug on mine.

A cold chisel makes quick work of it too. Cuts right into the plug.

That is a beautiful sight right there. I would love you forever if you can really help me. I’ll drive to wherever you are and pay with doll hairs/beer/however you’d like!

Nope, the chisel is sharp enough you just hammer it into the plug and it digs into it, loosening the plug. Let me try and find a pic.

I’ve seen that before but I’m not entirely confident with doing that, so I haven’t tried it

@fatfurious2 i also have the hex bit specifically for it. It’s a gear wrench piece. I don’t care if it gets trashed either because once I get this plug removed I’ll have no use for it anymore

I would try that. Couldn't hurt. Plus if it fails, you get a chisel.

Anyways, let me know when/if you want to come by. Im off on Saturday afternoon, Sunday all day, Mondays, and free Thursdays until 3pm. Weird schedule, but I guess it works.

Then also remember the torque for both drain and fill is low. I think its something like 54ft-lb, which is just a little tighter than snug

Yea, that's why i was suggesting a 10mm hex bit. Or we could cut one of your allen wrenches. Or weld a nut on there. Theres a few options

Hell yes. I am definitely down for this. Whatever will work best I am totally okay with. I just don’t wanna take it to a shop to have it removed, and then have to pay for labor, and have them put new fluid in, and potentially over torque the new plugs, and etc and etc and etc

    Bingo!

I would never, but you know that crazy ass Randy. He's so hard core I think he's welded the doors shut too.

    THAT'S WHAT I REMEMBER SEEING!!!!!!!

    I already love David forever.

    This sounds like witchcraft!

He will lead you off a cliff if you let him!

Still rockin' that potato phone I see....

Is Thursday at 0930 ok? Are you making pancakes or waffles? Sausage or bacon? Biscuits or toast? It will greatly influence if I bring mimosas or bloody marys.

Oh I absolutely would love to come by. Weekdays work better for me since I have more off days during the week. The next Thursday I have off is the 30th, if that works for you I’m off all day then

Want to try for the 30th at like 10 or 11am? Also depending on weather. My garage is too small to fit a truck, so we are dependent on the weather
