Frame rust

I've heard that the application of CRC extends the frame warranty by two years, fourteen years total. I can find nothing to support this. Is it just BS?

 

I guess as long as it was used on the frame early on, it likely would extend frame quality. As far as the warranty, never heard that from toyota.

 

Never heard of that, last I heard it was 12 years from date of first use.

 

With 1st gens, you had to get the coating done through Toyota by a certain date in order to qualify for the frame warranty. It didn't extend the years, it was a requirement for the actual coverage. And it had to be done and documented through a dealership.

 

And only in certain areas of the country I believe.
