Hi , I don't have a tacoma , I have a car but it looks like a nice truck! I am here because I have seen that many of you have Pioneer radios.

I bought the dmh-wt7600nex this is my fourth radio in several years from Pioneer and i think this is going to be my last Pioneer i am really disappointed right now. To quickly summarize, I buy them brand new. The radio was installed and barely 1 day later the nightmare started and it is not over yet. When I wanted to clean the screen for the first time I realized that there was dust under the screen a bit everywhere. However, I always pay attention to my things and the back cover was installed from the start. The store refused the exchange, I sent the radio for warranty, the authorized repairer changed a few parts and cleaned it. I get my screen back and surprise there is still dust under the screen and he told me he can't do better. I start using it again and when it's sunny outside the screen gets really ugly with all that dust under the screen.
I barely use them, I lost them for 2 weeks for nothing with the warranty. I made a complaint I don't want to keep it like that at the price I paid.

This is a high end radio with a very high price...and dust under the screen that seeps in so easily like this and even the warranty can't fix it is truly a total disgrace and disappointment.

The product as such I like it but the dust under screen problem is really a big flaw. So I would like to ask you owners of this type of radio if you had or have the same problem as me. Thanks , I attach a picture of my screen, i just cleaned the screen 90% of what you will see its below the screen.20220620_140201.jpg

Out of curiosity, why so many Pioneer stereos? Not sure what’s up with Pioneer and this shouldn’t be happening to you but you seem to like them regardless.

Sort of on topic, my truck can get really dusty and I’ve never had this issue, but I own a Kenwood eXcelon.

No worry to ask, well the first two radios I couldn't afford much many years ago, but I hadn't had a real problem with them. Then 3-4 years ago I bought the 4201nex and it still works and without dust in the screen. I wanted last month to have a bigger screen and an upgrade so I chose this one the wt7600nex. I liked Pioneer, but I must admit that with this one I'm starting to like them less, I'm really disappointed with all of this. My car doesn't even have much dust.

My oem radio is always dusty on the surface, but live in AZ so. :notsure:

Aside from the dust "defects" are you happy with the Pioneer? What else is in your audio setup? Any dead pixels or CarPlay connectivity issues?

I've been looking at the 6600, 7600, 8600, but some of the reviews are keeping me on edge. I played around with the 7600 at Bestbuy the other day and the screen was rather unresponsive. :redxfall:

Dust on the top of the screen is normal but having a lot of dust under the screen so inside the screen is not normal. I've had this problem since the beginning and I lost the screen for a while for nothing, so I didn't play with everything but what I've seen so far I think it's good. I made the latest update, it is responsive, some small lags but nothing too bad normal for a Radio. I don't like apple so I don't know, I use Android auto and it works pretty well. Can't say I like this radio yet with all the dust issues I have. When you buy a radio at this price you expect it to be perfect, not a big flaw like that.

I ordered online from a store I have a claim currently with I will wait for that.

In the meantime I hope that some owners will tell us if it happens to them too.

Finally... pioneer will clean the screen again for the second time but this time they are supposed to be better prepared to remove everything!

No owners have come forward and yet I have seen several in this category.. well..

Wow, if that dust in the pic is under the screen that’s not acceptable…hell no! That would bug the hell out of me. If the repair shop can’t get that out then they suck, they should be able to do that. I’d say next time buy from Crutchfield because they take of customers like family.

At least 90% of what you see is under the screen. as I said I sent the screen in for repair for cleaning once and when I got it is was still dust inside. In a week the technicians come back from vacation and they will call me to redo a cleaning as soon as possible. Pioneer told me that it shouldn't have dust like that and that the technicians will be better informed and will probably have to work with more light to properly remove the dust and I'm supposed to get it back like new this time! I hope that will be true! I will fight with this until it is acceptable. I have ordering only one time to Crutchfield , you always order from it and is great?

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Only place I'll order car audio from. Crutchfield should be a model to the rest in the industry.
