    This red 2014 Tundra Double Cab SR5 4x4 has only 60K miles; It also has a salvage title...

    It was totaled due to extensive damage on the passenger side, and he bought it cheap at an insurance auction. Unfortunately, he didn't have any "before" pictures, but he was a body tech by trade and was able to repair the truck without replacing any body panels. He admitted that he had to use an extensive amount of bondo, but he really did do a good job. The truck had no frame damage, and the airbags did not deploy, so it amazes me that the previous owner's insurance company totaled it; Though the truck has been inspected and is now 100% safe to drive, it still has a "rebuilt" title, which absolutely craters the resale value regardless of how severe the damage was. The owner loves the truck, owns it outright, and has no plans to sell, but he estimated that could probably get about $25K even with a salvage title; Around here, the same truck (Again, 2014 Double Cab SR5 4x4 with 5.7L V8 and only 60K miles) with a clean title would easily be going for $32K+ at dealerships in my neck of the woods!
