It truly is the most fun offroad. If only it shifted better/ easier. But I’ll get that fixed. And the front end lol

noo. Think I’ll just get some springs like @JTFisherman said. Ome ones. I think that’s all it needs. Just some stronger load springs

Really new to address the front. Just gonna bite the bullet on another project and do a sas to it. WAGGY 44, 6 lug with 4.10s if I can find one relatively close. Or I’ll just make a trip to the Chicago area, seems to be a few parts up there.

Plan is to put it on leaf springs, easier and I already have a set laying around.

You don’t need a spring compressor. But you’re going to SAS so no worries explaining

I’ve done other sketchy ways but I’m getting older and my kids would probably appreciate their dad being around lol.

I honestly think sas is the way to fix it. I may not even get it where I want it with new stiffer springs. Then I’ll just keep waisting money, ya know? So we’ll just do it the way I wanted in the first place. The rake is terribleeee

Copy that, but I’ve lifted six Toyotas without a spring compressor, and I can guarantee a spring compressor, outside of a wall mounted unit, it 100x more sketchy.

Ahhh. Pretty much fixed the saggy front end of raisin.

Snagged some ome w/ 882 springs off here from a fellow member. Thanks @JTFisherman for the share.

Now onto what it’s been needing. 35s and a front locker. I need to do ball joints and hubs on the front but they Ight for now. It’s a trail rig. It’ll be ok.

Slapped some worn out thorn birds on it. 33 12.5 just to see how it looks. These are free fifty so I may just run them for a bit.

Fixed the issue with it not going into gear without pumping the clutch and or turning it off, throwing it in gear and starting it.

Replaced the slave- was bad anyway but it didn’t fix it

Replaced the fluid in the trans- needed it anyway but didn’t fix it

Replaced the shift lever bushing- needed it as the one in it was missing, didn’t fix it though

Replaced the master, wasn’t leaking but this fixed it.

Also, bled it quite a few times in between all this and it wasn’t changing. All good now. Can shift it with one finger now.

Also, threw some 33 12.50s on it for good measure.

@JTFisherman says I need more than 4 lug nuts but we gunna runnnn it.

Super impressed with this 63 swap. Highly recommend it.

Truck was a blast to drive this weekend, being able to shift normally and all.

Definitely need to get the drivers side ball joints done and replace the cv. Might change the oil too if it’s lucky.

sounds very similar to the path my shitbox has been taking over the years. 97 3rz 5spd 350k, 5.29s, lunchbox lockers front and rear, aal and ext shackles in the rear with 5100s all around and 882’s on the second perch. 35x10.50 Kendas for rubber.

what are the measurements for moving the perches for the 63’s? I can’t ever find crap for info on doing this to 95-97 tacos. Seems all the info out there is for 98+. I’m also hoping to sas one day if the 3rz stays together long enough.
