Man, I am really confused. I just passed Horizon Gas in Valley Center California (YES CALIFORNIA)
showing regular gas at $5.56 a gallon. Biggest gas station I have ever seen! Cars, RV's etc. lined up at the pumps. How in the world is this possible!

Came home a day early RV camping on Palomar Mtn. Mosquitos were thick!

There is a place like that here in Norcal too.

I never worked with an oil company, but most of the companies I have worked with that trade internationally or sold commodities had some sort of cash flow hedge scheme. I'd imagine some of the oil companies made a good bet on their cash flow hedges, which enabled them to outpace their competitors.

I was wondering and a quick Google search shows it is owned by the San Pasqual Tribe.
Saves 18 cents in Fed tax, 51 in state tax plus 7-8 percent or whatever would be the rate in that locale.
So, they might be charging even more for the gas itself as that adds up to well over a buck.

I was just about to ask the same thing. Cheapest here in Redding, CA is $6.00 and above.

Really good for that neighborhood, by about $0.25.

Hmm maybe the gas station in the reservation is cheaper by this knowledge.
