    I took advantage of yesterdays cooler temps, only in the low 90s :rolleyes:, to get some outside stuff done at my wife’s business. Finishing up today hopefully. High heat and humidity comes back with a vengeance for the rest of the week.

    Good morning folks! Gonna be a warm one again. Predicting mid-90s today. I've got to get through today and then I'm off for the next 5 days.

    We don't worry much about the dog ticks like this one around here. Disease isn't really very common from them in Michigan. Here its really the black legged tick that spooks us. That is the one that carries Lyme disease. My sister suffers from long term Lyme that she got from a tick bite visiting my aunt about 20 miles away from the origin site of Lyme, CT. Hers was bad!

    We have a few that walk right up to our deck to eat under the bird feeders. Dog-sitting for my son's 80lb black lab mix until Sunday. Deer are staying at the bottom of the yard for now. Now I know why I never had a dog this big (mostly beagles and a shelty). She listens well but if she decides to unexpectedly change direction she about pulls my arm out of the socket.[​IMG]

    Beagles are hardheaded. when i had mine Nothing came in the yard. only thing that ever whipped her was a groundhog. she cornered it and came running. didnt want no more of that. lol
