Absolutely perfect...I'm actually a little surprised at how well he fits into what I was looking for in a dog. The only issue we've seen is food protectiveness with the little Skipperke Shadow. I think that'll settle down over time.

We can, we do. Bob won’t. Open cockpit car is not a fun deal.
We did with a different car and won a few races. He looked for a enclosed car but nun available
    At this time.

I get that...so you'll drive over, and might not race? ... or will they make a go-nogo call before you leave?

Oh ... well cool. I suppose a lot of work to get rain canx'd must be frustrating? Good luck, I hope the fickle witch gives some slack and you race.

    Steve:
That was the problem with our dryer. I knew what the problem was and fixed it. Over time the coils in the heating element wear down and do not get hot enough. A simple $30 part will fix the problem. Spend the extra $10 and get the kit with the sensors. All are easy to replace and yo also have the opportunity to clean all the lint from the back of the dryer.

A happy looking pup. Owner is not too bad either.

Yesterday was fun. Hard to break the wife away from holding the baby. We were supposed to leave at 6 but did not leave till 8. Mt Neice's husband gave me a crash course in Indian spices and cooking. I see a lot of research into Lentils and Indian spices in my future.

Yesterday's chicken and rice turned out great. I decided to use the Weber Kettle with B*B charcoal and a few chunks of pecan wood from sharp's BBQ wood. Good thing I wrapped each piece of chicken in individual sheets of foil. I put them in trays then put a town in an insulated meat shipping box wrapped in a beach towel. 4 hours later the chicken was still hotter than warm.

Today is transplanting the Rosemary herb plant because the Zucchini plant has taken over the corner of the garden. A little pond work, washing the Avalon and obtaining some tuna steaks for dinner. Life is good.

Good Morning and thank you Tom :hattip:
You're really quite the culinary artist, I always feel hungry after about 90% of your posts. :hungry:

How's your eyesight lately, have you adjusted to everything visually?

We tried some of the Copper River Red Salmon last night. I just did a simple bake with butter, lemon, and a standard fish spice blend seasoning we bought locally a while back. I got something right, because Kristi, Iowa farm girl that she is, and not a fan of anything that tastes "fishy," said it was the best she's ever had. Might have something to do with the fact it was working it's way upriver 3 days ago. ;) :notsure:

Have a great day Brother! :fistbump:

Ugh, I got my first shingles vaccine almost exactly a year ago and it kicked my butt way worse than the COVID vaccine. The good news is the second time around wasn't a big deal; keep us posted.

I got mine 3 yrs (I think) ago. It was not particularly rememberable...so nothing to worry about getting the shots. I've known a few folks that have had shingles...anything to avoid that pain is worth it.

EDIT: It was 4 yrs ago, Summer 2018.

I thought I'd beat the odds so never got mine. My Bro-in-law got shingles and I laughed... But then I got this half dollar sized rash on my lower belly that shot electrical charges radiating out from it. It felt like stinging nettles. I knew right away and went in to the doctor. They have medications that worked well so it never spread. If it had gotten as big as some pictures I've seen it would have been miserable. The half dollar sized area was not too bad, more interesting than real pain. You can always toss the dice... but I recommend you get the vaccine.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Reminds me, I should get my second shingles sometime soon. My Mom got it, and UGH!

The phone issue was in house wiring - and still is. So, the base unit is in the office direct to the modem, and a remote unit will be in the dining room where it was. On a shelf. That should be here today. And mounted with some wall repair. Ain't nobody going into the attic to run a new line from the office to the DR for quite a while. But the shelf had to be big enough for the base when it does happen, because someone wants it there.

Going to drop off the freezer today, and on the hunt for some squirrel feeder hardware. Tossed the old wood one off the fence, and need something a little more raccoon resistant. I have a plan. Or a plot. Or a hare-brained scheme anyway.

Good morning. We got a new state holiday yesterday so it made the day nicer. We've had 4 solid days of 25-40mph constant winds. The backyard looks like a war zone. I'll get that cleaned up today.

I'm refreshing my retirement spreadsheet calculations to see what the difference between retiring in September vs December is. So tempted to go in September because I love the fall. I have an 293 mile ATV trip, Madison River fishing, Henry's lake fishing, Strawberry Reservoir fishing, and lots of golf planned for the fall. A huge project at work (which I'll explain after it happens) will be completed.

    Have a great day.

    Hi porchinos!

spent the day with my 93 year old mother yesterday. I had to wash her car and change the oil. Anyone who drives around Concord CA, beware she is out there…….

I had shingles in high school, I’m not sure if I need to get the vaccine or not. I may or may not be immune now. That crap hurt! Even at 17 it was miserable!

Didn't sleep much I may be napping later. Decisions decisions……..

I retired in January, I do not recommend it. By March I had driven Mrs JGO nutty, and myself. I ended up doing some part time work in the same field.

Most of those in my position in state government leave 30 years and 2 minutes. I’ve lasted 36 years plus. It’s time for me to go. I have plenty to do. It’s my wife’s problem if I drive her crazy.

I have worked for others outside my family (not talking earning allowance here) since I was 12 years old. That's long enough to be working for The Man. I work strictly for myself now. Although I do take care to keep mama happy -- mama ain't happy, yada yada. :)

I made sure to have a nice long list of projects before I left the working world. I haven't been bored.
