The license plate?! The paperwork is already been submitted to get a road America one. If you're talking vehicle, how dare you. How dare you encourage an addict.

The vehicle. What's next? And more importantly, why do you trade so often?

I just realized if you didn't know I got rid of the tundra that means you didn't even see my last vehicle! It had road America plates too.

I'm hoping to keep a vehicle for over a year for once. I'm starting with baby steps in that I'm not modifying my truck at all. That way if I do end up falling back into my yearly trade pattern at least I didn't spend a bunch on aftermarket parts and tires like I usually do. The reason I trade so often as vehicles are my favorite thing in the world besides family and nature and the allure to always be driving something different is quite strong.

I've got a few N.C. ones, had this one on a convertible Mustang several years ago.

It's amazing how schrodinger of a plate this is. I'm always never pulled over from "just left a car show". Came off something I've long ago forgot what parts car was shipped over.

    dtes.jpg

I do have a full wall of my own plates. But since it's trival enough just to punch a plate number into the internets and find the owners name, address, etc, I refrain from posting those.

Some are even new in box! Because I refused to use both plates. Looking at one now from 2008 that was never put on.

I think the odds of something happening to us are greater from the crackheads who live near us rather than someone on the internet who saw a license plate that could possibly link us to where we live. Also anybody can get your current plate off your vehicle while sitting in your driveway, at the grocery store, work, Lowes, or wherever :D

So I was just scrolling through Tik Tok and found a guy who collects plates. Kinda interesting watching some of the vids.

For sure, my plates get scanned all day by various companies where I live and LE. One of many advantages of titling under a trust.

When ALPRs were not super common at the time, I was driving with a suspended license. My theroy was if I stuck to highways, the odds of LE manually punching my plate in at a red light would be less. Was also just when the state gave ALPRs to HP, I got nailed taking a left turn yield on yellow getting on the highway. Human didn't get my plate, camera did and and the warning bell went off. Insta pulled over. If anyone cares to know, my license should not have been suspended in trhe first place because I never did anything wrong and won, at the same time I also should not have been driving either.
