So Ive got a jerry can with 7 gallons of gas thats about a year old. Do I risk putting it in my tank? Im currently close to empty so I could fill up the other 13 or so gallons with fresh. If not where do I dispose of it? Auto parts store?

Heaps looks like it is something fierce. Zion is on our list, but the lottery style, or 'show up on the day and hope you get lucky' systems for the permits make it tough with our full-time jobs. One day though.

The one I'm planning for is definitely not the best in the world, but one of the best for sure.

It's longest rappel outdoes Heaps in length. Free hanging as well. Not as many rappels in total, but you still need a wetsuit year round.

There is also something 'comforting' about the last rappel being the longest rappel (as in Heaps). As long as the rope gets to the ground you will live. However, when the longest rappel is only rap 3 out of 9 (in my case), shit gets more frightening for me. I NEED all that gear and rope to come down in order to get out to safety, i.e. ground I can walk on to help. I think it artificially ups the difficulty for me to lead people through.

I am currently sitting in the same boat. But have just been debating throwing it in the 3 wheeler 2 gallons at a time with 1 gallon of premium and run it. Worse case scenario I pull the tank which is one bolt and flush the system.

I read those trip reports on canyoneeringusa and just shake my head. It is something else to read and imagine, after being through non-technical slots, but the views really are un-possible to photograph and convey the scale and wow factor. It was just a guess based on the long rap comment.

I have a work friend that does FreezeFest most years, that looks like a hoot, I think I'd be fine with just winter camping with cool people and cooking ;o)

all the best to ya - sounds amazing

Bingo, but not really build it out inside...just a mattress pad and a sleeping bag.

It'll be a nice option from my Tacoma, since the lady doesn't really dig the RTT life...

Thinking about hitting a couple of trails in Sedona this weekend to escape the heat a bit, Outlaw and diamondback gulch on my list. Anyone here been to those before? Any tricky spots to watch out for? Thank you

I recently sold my Freespirit and picked up a CVT hybrid with the extended vestibule and annex...hoping that setup changes her mind, since she won't have to go outside for a nature call, and has a place to change, etc.

Sequoia won't be built out for a bit, and first up is the timing belt/water pump R/R...perfect time of year to be doing it, too
