The socket would still function. That pigtail harness is an inline tap.

Its a T-tap harness, one side connects to the OEM harness, the other into the Cigarette socket. You won't lose function of the 12v socket.

Lots on 07 ... getting started on 19

Good to know but it seems the one I bought was defective either way so the Qi charger is back n there but now the light won’t come back on that I noticed came on right after I reinstalled it.

Right now I gotta see which TSB I can initiate for the A/C not cooling right I think it’s out of factory warranty so I’ve gotta see how to work this out

My wife's iPhone 13Pro Max doesn't charge with the case off or on. I didn't try moving the phone to different spots on my 2017 Tacoma Off-Road's charging pad. I just gave up. I'm going to go pick-up a new iPhone 13 (regular size, not Mini, Pro, or Pro Max), and I'll see if that works, but don't have high hopes, but now won't be as upset if it doesn't immediately start charging as my wife's old Samsung Galaxy phone did.

Everything is getting so complicated nowadays:(
It does make me appreciate the new things which do work when I buy something lately (I know this thread was dated but I'm just now personally getting a wireless-charging phone today 10/8/22).

Update 10/9/22. My new iPhone 13 (I didn't splurge on the latest iPhone 14 series) connects to the wireless charger just fine, without a case. I should be getting a case later today and I'll try it again.:)

Update#2 10/9/22. New iPhone 13 will not charge with my new "Torras" case (bought through Amazon) installed.

With the case on, a regular desktop QI wireless charger works, btw.
Rather than taking the case off, I'll just plug the iPhone into the USB-A (or is it a USB-B) with older-style cable to charge while driving and to play my music as I was doing with my previous iPhone 7.

shorturl.at/aEG35 (copy & paste weblink to Amazon's product page for the ANKER usb-c adapter)
I've now also ordered a couple of these Anker-brand usb-c adapters to plug into my vehicles' cigarette adapter sockets. I understand the usb-c cables & adapters might charge the latest iPhones faster than the old-style USB-A adapters & cables. We'll see.

I have change my cigarette light out for a similar one (both USB-C and USB-A and it comes w/voltage meter) and added another one to the back of the center console for people in the back seat. USB-C does seem to charge faster than older USB-A type ports.

Has anyone gutted the QI thing and replaced with a good more universal wireless charger?
