In Missouri there are several levels of truck plates based on gross vehicle weight rating. Then there are passenger car plates.

However, you can put vanity plates on damn near anything and they don't really care.

So I promise I'm not being a troll, but for how much that suspension costs I would be genuinely upset for it to just be riding fine. Is it too stiff?

Well, last night I double checked in two different ways available to me in Wisconsin to confirm that it is indeed registered (which I was pretty certain of anyway) and everything showed up correctly so I'm not sure what they are on about.

That is why I wait... my truck has room for improvement but rides as I expect a truck to ride. Hate the thought of spending thousands for a bit of improvement. I will do the back end first as it is a known problem area as a result of towing and carrying heavy stuff. Front? Probably have to make the jump when I commit to 35's... Lots to do first-like make money...

@wis_taco your truck looks great. How were the washboard roads when you did the group run? What is not as you had hoped for? What is better?

When I swapped my suspension, it was pretty stiff at first but after a couple thousand miles, it’s great. I think most need broke in a little after install.

I should definitely clarify that I'm a bit of a perfectionist at times so take my comments of it being "fine" with a grain of salt. Compared to my previous Bilstein 6112/5160 and OE sagged leafs it is stiffer but not in a bad way. Quite the opposite really - it's a noticeable improvement. This isn't my first rodeo and I've been turning my own wrenches since I was 14 (which means now that I think about it that's 25 years doing all my own work) so I know you can't just slap parts on and expect perfection out of the box. These parts need some tuning and break-in so I reserve final judgement sometime down the road when it's all dialed in.

Thanks appreciate it! Washboards were...washboard-y. But that is because I haven't touched the DSC adjusters yet. Now is when I start tweaking those things to fine tune the performance and understand which settings work for my build, i.e. this is the fun part now.

That's kind of what I have read everywhere and what I'm counting on. But glad to hear another report backing it up.

Point also has a few other brands. They had these on the floor but I haven’t tried them. Didn’t know if it’s any good
    :notsure: Anyone try it? @Pixeltim, @Thatbassguy, @McSpazatron, @Camerasandcoffee, @theJCKRBBT

Same exact feeling I had the first night after installation. Basically the emotion I had was the Tiger King meme like "I will never financially recover from this". But yeah trying to be patient and let everything wear in. I can already feel it getting better and no longer have doubts it will work out as expected in the long run.

I think Point used to (maybe still does?) make "Berghoff" or something like that. We would buy it whenever we found it. They usually had it at the grocery store in New Glarus, IIRC.

    Never tried the one pictured.

Can confirm forums have been extremely detrimental to finances. Also, I have already found the bump stops :p

Noooo I can't!!! The aforementioned financial ouchies are real. I'm trying to break the cycle of not only the yearly trade, but throwing modifications at the yearly trade. If I can keep this truck 2 years I will celebrate with a suspension lol. (Once in a lifetime deals will not be passed up though, like the second gen TRD pro suspension kit fire sale.)

Yeah but if you are gonna keep it for 2 years you should do modifications now so you can enjoy them for the entire time :)
