Just put the tether attached to your gas cap on the circled part. IMG_7155.jpg

Come on, now. That is absurd. I want to spend $20 on a piece of plastic to hold my gas cap. You're just being facetious.

Pretty simple. A little sandpaper used to adjust the fit of the Gasshole, and the cap slides in and out easily.
A few seconds of work....with a coat of spray paint to finish it off nicely.

All the while making fun of those parking lot queens or those that trash a $40,000 + vehicle.

I know people say to hang it on that clip, but really, that is not supposed to be used as a cap holder, as it is clearly part of the fuel door latch assembly. However, as others here have mentioned, the Gasshole from Meso Customs is what I got, and well worth the $20 cost.

+1 for the liftdcustoms version. I don't know if the new version improved the situation, but the Meso gasshole was just too tight to fit the cap properly. It would fall out every time. Got rid of it and put the liftd version in, works much better.

Sure it is the latch for the fuel door, but that doesn't mean things can't have multiple uses. The gas cap is nowhere near heavy enough to cause damage to it. Also the length of the tether in relation to that latch matches up perfectly, I'd even argue it was purposefully done so you can attach your gas cap there without it dangling.

But at the end of the day. It's your money and you can do with it as you please.

My gas cap tether is removed from vehicle and I just set it on top of tonneau cover every time I gas up. These gas cap holders linked above are cool but $20 for a piece of plastic you could easily 3d print for $0.10? No thanks.
