Looks great! I need to do this soon. Can I ask why you used two floor jacks and not just one in the middle of the pumpkin? Just curious looks like it might be a tandem job with a buddy on the other side? Thanks

i feel safer using two. If you only have one well I get it. It’s still a single person job with two jacks, you just have to move around a few extra times. Jackstands always too.

Shoved a pool noodle between Cab and bed. It was more tedious than I thought.
I did cut the noodle about 1/4 vertically

Test drive tomorrow and use my calibrated ears to test for noise reduction.

I used my Jackery 500 for a 5 night trip this week, but I was moving everyday and it would charge as i drove. To be honest, it would of lasted 3 days without driving, I also have the Jackery 100w solar panel, which would solve any problems if running low on juice!!

Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
Ordered a smittybilt RTT XL gen 2 from Morris 4x4, who btw, have excellent customer service and delivery was way faster than expected. So thank you to them. Delivery driver AND slip said 500lbs (smh) for the record its 137lbs. Set up was a breeze and I'm making new tracks, however for the bed rack I built. More pics to come of interior and annex is getting Ordered soon.

Two weeks ago was one year anniversary with my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I took it to my Toyota dealership, they did a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, lubed the drive shaft and re-torqued it for $150. Cheapest service I've had in years for ANY car I own or have owned. I really liked my V6, 6-speed manual Tacoma 4x4. I only put 2,000 miles on it in a year. The problem is that I just didn't love it. I love the way it looked, I loved the way it easily fit in the garage, I loved how rugged it was but overall, I just didn't connect with it. I fully understand why people love their Tacoma's but for some reason, it just wasn't for me.

About 3 or 4 months ago my son (he's 18) asked if we could drive by our local Ford dealership, he said they had a GT-500, a Ford GT (on display which is what he really wanted to look at it), an original 68 Ford Bronco, a Bullitt Mustang, a new full size Bronco, etc. I said sure why not, let's go. I noticed the new F-150, I've never been an F-150 guy but my God that thing was just gorgeous. We took one out and I was hooked. I never thought I would pull the trigger but a dealership, about 5 hours away, sold me a 2021 w/5k miles on it, XLT, sunroof, camera package, 302A, etc. for over $6k off sticker and they gave me more than $1,500 more than what I paid for my Tacoma a year ago. I couldn't resist.

So, what did I do to my 3rd gen today? I traded it for a Ford. . . God help me! :) I really, really love this community, this is a great forum, forums are the lifeblood of any vehicle (if you ask me.) So, long live TacomaWorld! Who knows, maybe someday down the road, I'll trade this in on a Tacoma! I'm planning to stick around, get my 50 posts in (it may take a while) so I can sell some brand new parts I never got around to putting on my Taco.

well every new car is nice indeed. I probably would have gone with a Bronco Raptor… that’s the only thing that would take my Taco away right now.

    take care out there!
