Thanks, I know had I known that 10 years ago I would have bought up as many clean ones as I could find and stashed them away!

And thanks, I've always kept it what I believe to be tasteful, relatively stock appearance. There surely aren't many left that haven't been riced/clapped out these days

Have been looking for a weekend vehicle for a few months. After looking into Miata’s, S2000’s, Datsun Z’s & several others, the C5 corvette for the price and performance in stock form, got my money. Purchased a 1999 FRC, manual 6 speed with 42k miles last week, pic from today for insurance coverage.

The FRC is a cool under appreciated vette. C5 is a lot of bang for the buck. Nice find!

    This is my other ride.

1971 Lincoln Mark III Continental. All original Medium Brown Metallic paint, Parchment vinyl roof and leather interior, and 460 big block backed by a C6 auto and 9" rear. Has 60,000 original, documented miles.

It had been parked since '95 in a storage unit...and this May was the first time in 27 years it has been outside and saw daylight.

It took a little TLC to get back in running order, but not as much as expected. It runs as smooth as a Swiss watch.

Here is my 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Its being looked after by my fathers best friend at the moment. I will be bringing this car back down to North Carolina when I graduate college in the next couple years.

Here is the most accurate story that I can tell about this car from what I can remember as a kid, with some help from my fathers friends and my mother (I had to revise the story a bit):

In 1978 my grandfather bought himself a Cameo White 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am after watching Smokey and the Bandit in theaters in 1977. My father, who was 9 years old at the time, absolutely admired the Firebird and he grew his passion for these cars before he could even drive. In 1987, when my father was a junior at Marshall High School, in Marshall Michigan, my grandfather bought my father this 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am as his first car. My dad and his dad loved the fact that they had two Trans Ams in their driveway. My father daily drove this car all throughout high school and college, and apparently never once drove it in the snow or had it parked in the rain (t-tops leak). He had to rely on his fathers crappy buick when it snowed or rained because he didn't want his Trans Am to rust. In the mid 90s my father got a job in Charlotte, North Carolina, so he moved down to Lake Norman, North Carolina. My father decided that it was probably not the best idea to daily drive a Trans Am, so around 1998 he bought another car as a daily driver and the Trans Am sat in the garage and only came out on the weekends if the weather was just right. My father had the car mostly restored between 2000 and 2012 and the last recorded service record for this car was around July, 2013 at 347,200. My father passed away to cancer in October of 2013, so I ended up becoming the new owner of this car at just 11 years old. Because I was only 11 at the time, my dads best friend that he had since high school shipped the car back up the Marshall, Michigan and he's been taking care of it since then. He put about 100 miles on the car since 2013. I drove up to Michigan last month to see this car in person and it's amazing how well it has help up. I drove it about 20 miles and it drives smoother than my Tacoma lol.

So cool! I love the story. Very sorry to hear about your dads passing while you were so young and hopefully this car will help you keep his memory alive a little easier!

    Bought this today, it’s a 1989 Bronco with the 300 inline 6 and a 5-speed.

Earlier this year I sold my Supra and picked this up. Looking forward to building it up. So far it has LS400 brakes, P2M LCAs, Megan Racing rear traction bars and toe bars and MK4 TT Supra wheels. Hope to swap the trans for a CD009 in the near future.

I should’ve specified - that’s the SC400 with the 1UZ, and they only came in Auto. I considered SC300s but JZ anything is outrageous because Supra (part of the incentive for selling mine), and I can get the power I want out of the UZ with a flatter powerband because v8.

I paid $8500 and it’s a 99 with 135k miles, and black interior. You should be able to find 400s for under $10 all day, with 300s floating north of that pending condition. MTs are going to fetch a premium, and the w58 is one of the smoothest transmissions in existence but they can’t hold power.
