I got 245/75r17s, am I cool enough for this thread yet?

 

Do you have any lift or it that on stock suspension?

 

How's the gas mileage with these so far?

 

They fit SR5. Just throw them on.

Hahahah for sure, just curious the difference in MPG going from your 33s to the 35s. If you do calculate, please let us know!

6/18/2022 Update: New shoes.

255/75/17 cooper discoverer AT3 4S, SL rated. Mounted on 2019 gunmetal gray 4R wheels. Big like. no highway noise, at all. OOps, didnt get bronze. But saved $400 since I found these gray ones used.

 

Got the G003s moved over to the Eagle 102s.

 

35x10.5 Kendas. The 7.5" wide ALPHAequipt Foxtrot wheels pair perfectly with the pizza cutter tires.

Have lost some MPGs going from the stocker Toyo A30 265/65/17s to the Cooper Discoverer 4S in 255/75/17 on 4runner TRD Pro Sema wheels. Even accounting for the 5% less rotations, its at least 1mpg, maybe a full 2mpg. Not a big deal but just for those wondering how skinny AT tires compare to the highway tires you start out with.

Knew I would lose some but dang! Glad I didnt go with big K02s

 

There’s a couple of things to consider.

1. the stock tire actually will register slightly small for the speedo calibration, meaning the car is actually not going as far as it thinks, which will give the trip fuel computer an artificially high mpg read out. I found that out when I switched to 265/70/17s and the speedo was bang on with gps. You should download a gps speed app and check how close your Speedo (and thus trip computer) actually are.

2. the stock tires (A30) are like 36# a piece. Super light. I think that the stock sport rims (2020+) are around 27# each. Going to a more aggressive tread and a slightly heavier tire will degrade your fuel economy as well but shouldn’t much in your case.

unrelated to the above, I’d love to see a photo of your setup, especially a shot of how flush the tires/wheels are with the fenders.

 

I know this isn’t exactly the classified but thought someone might be looking for some like new skinny’s in today’s overpriced tire market…

• I sold my taco with the winter tires on and still have these in the garage. I ran them for maybe 4-5k miles before winter last year. Fit on my 2021 trd off-road no lift.
