Buy that bitch. $2k is a good deal. As long as the frame is good anything else is fixable and the bike shop will take care of you

All my first bikes were super clapped - I even had a broken carbon frame repaired multiple times! You'll be fine - just let the shop confirm it's ready to ride before you go out there

@mrtonyd You’re the man! Thanks for all of the advice. I rode Buffalo a decade ago.

I have a Kuat and it’s great BUT you can’t drop the tailgate with it on. It hits. With a 1 up you can drop the tailgate. No contact. I added a Rakattach swingout and it works great.

That’s good to know because I absolutely will need to drop the tailgate with the rack installed.

Alright guys thanks for all the help had him drop it off at a mobile shop total bill for getting it back to good shape besides the small paint knicks on the frame is +/- 600 bucks depending on labor and a few weeks wait for parts.

ended up buying it for 1,800 and he threw in a few tools, helmet with googles which I’ll replace to be safe. I probably won’t push this bike to its limits for a while anyways as I haven’t been on one in years.

Got up early today and almost got out on the trail as the sun was coming up. Saw this little fellow who wasn’t happy to see me. 98B9891B-5075-4C85-9DC8-96C3ABB14B42.jpg 11664569-E308-4538-A639-E775B1C39C7A.jpg

I'm just happy they make noise. You cant even see it in the first picture. Crazy that something so dangerous is basically a venomous maraca.

Managed to get a couple rides done in Brevard between all the other stuff. The most epic was the pedal to Oskar Blues for burgers/beers. Then a classic Middle/Lower Black/Sycamore “M” loop. Hard to beat when pressed for time. Just like FL

Nailed it. Don't have anything to add.
My favorite bike park, Trestle, no doubt. Best overall areas, Crested Butte (gorgeous area, great camping, super trails), Monarch Crest (great ride, amazing views, backcountry feel, shuttled), Black Hawk (some of the absolute best trail building I've ever ridden, flown, chunky, jibby fun), Steamboat (super fun town, great riding around the resort, crazy good fly fishing, but the park is mostly closed this year), and Frisco (amazing backcountry rides, killer views of 14ers, ride Jones Pass to Herman gulch if you can, it's an amazing adventure).

Good to know, I'm quite curious about this ride too.

Thank you for saying venomous instead of poisonous. Drives me nuts.

Vail is at the ski resort, you can bike up the service access road but getting a lift pass is a life saver. The trails are pretty fun but can be crowded with tourists who have poor trail manners.

Riding a bunch of back to back DH runs kicks my ass lol

replaced the Maxxis Ikons that came on my polygon with DHF/DHR and it's so much better. I could probably get away with the Ikons if I were a better rider lol

Similar experience with the A2 for me. Grabbed a POC from REI last week, used it Saturday morning and returned it Saturday afternoon. Same issue as A2 with Tifosi Sledge.

Here's a typical trail/view for the Tahoe Meadows section:
    IMG_7614.jpg

And here is what most of the Flume Trail looks like:

    IMG_7617.jpg

It's a pretty epic ride. There's nothing crazy or extremely difficult. Lots of fun and views for days! I was the first one to get my bike off the shuttle and I just took off. I didn't see another person on the entire route until I was on the way back north after going around Marlette Lake...most of the people from my shuttle were just getting to the top of the Marlette TRT section (they went the opposite way around the loop).

Same lid/sunny setup for me, same result. I just attributed it to a combo of smaller head/face and a larger-ish framed sunglasses.

May give the A3 a go once Christmas rolls around.

Anyone running the Oneup switch chainrings? Need a new chainring for my Following, and my lbs only has these in stock (with the mounting piece also). Just looking for a quick good/not good kind of opinion.

    Thx!

I bought this 32” wheel that goes on the Kent Big League Cruiser.

But I only bought the wheel and it’s for a different project. Nonetheless I thought it would be fun to put it on this bike and ride it around this morning.
