    Anyone done DIY vinyl wrap?
Got quoted $400 to wrap the roof (paint fade) - ouch
Have a feeling I can do this for $60 myself in tools and materials

I've done my own tint and decals before so I may have some tools left over.
Had a neighbor wrapped his whole car at home

Maybe will even wrap the whole body a different color if I get the hang of it. But I know that will be harder than just a roof. Roof is simple, body is not (handles, etc.)

    How'd you do it?

Was curious of the same idea. The roof and hood on my 2009 taco is starting to fade a bit. Was wondering the costs of DIY'ng this.

I wrapped my hood and top due to fading. The top is not that hard. Just have to be patient. The hood was a whole different story. The hood bulge gave me some issues but wasn't anything a heat gun and patience couldn't solve.

if you're used to working with tint and vinyl you should have a pretty good head start on something like a roof, I'd give it a shot

It'll last longer than a crappy Maaco paint job. The truck stays outside all day everyday and it's been a couple of years and still looks great. The camaros stay in the garage. The black one (used to be red) I wrapped 7 years ago and still looks good. The red one I sold last year so idk it's condition but i used Avery vinyl which lasts as long as a paint job.
