We had one of those at the hunting club growing up, Johnny would make coffee then dad would brew it 2 more times and drink the 3rd batch

Dad always said the 1st batch you had to chew it :D

Remember very well. Still in use at the cousins hunting camp.
At home we use an electronic one, stops percolating when done. Makes good coffee.

Remember when you could buy a used 1969 Camaro for $1,750

Found this receipt in a truck I bought a few years ago.

I remember their commercials with that little chicken and the saying. Also have a license plate from an old car I bought a few years ago, it was in the trunk.

They are one of my favorites as well. My cousin has one, black, been sitting in his temperature controlled basement for 40 years that I know of. Haven't seen him drive it in a few years.

Better to be honest then embellish things in the other direction.

It is the attempt that counts if no one has been air lifted to the Hospital your doing good.

Machines were designed around that bottle when you could no longer find the bottles .

Many people refilled the bottles to use the cooler.

I remember in the early 1980s they were making small glass bottles that resembled the old style bottles so you could still use the original legacy vending machines.

There was a mechanic shop down the street from our house that had one of those machines.

You would put it in the money, which would then unlock the refrigerator style door of the vending machine and then you had to grab one of the bottles and pull on it like pulling a sword out of a stone or the bottle would get jammed. I think it was because the new bottles were slightly different from the ones the machine was designed for.

The guy who owned the shop and the vending machine always claimed that “he just let Coca-Cola put it there,” but everybody knew that he was making a fortune off the money that machine ate.

Actually that one didn’t come around until I was in high school.

She had a stainless steel one first that was exactly the same principle, and when my mom died it was still in the back of the cupboard. My sister probably sent it to Goodwill.
