Dunno yet. Still looking for rollers. I got my wife into cars and we both want to learn to drift and work on engines/transmissions. I figure if I get the powerplant now, I can comb through it with her and maybe getting it running on the stand as a project for the both of us. Then whenever we get a car to put it in, we can go through that process. Hard part is finding a cheap shell.

I had a friend who put an LS2 into a 1990 something S10, it would fly and he did a great job. He would do stuff and sell it to do other stuff, after that was an Empi buggy. His most recent project was putting an LS7 into a 1967 Firebird, sadly he got killed in a 4 wheeler accident a couple months ago and didn't get the car completely finished.

I am sure every yard is different.

Because of the amount of out of work lawyers most places only allow little things to be removed.

To the point no Jacks are allowed in the Yard!

Any engines or Transmissions that were good get pulled before it goes out in the general area of the yard. Around here.

The go to is just cut the harnesses to get the engine out as fast as possible .

The clueless leave off things that allow water and rodents inside.

Unless your looking for a core to rebuild why a none running engine??

Ah.. So you are that guy... :p

I slow down in the passing zones to encourage them to go around, the Dodge truck guys always go roaring by.

Often though for reasons I don't understand the non-Dodge guys tend not to want to pass, they just stay back there.:smack:

Some places will put a sold tag on the engine (if you paid in advance) but it would still be an honor system in the yard.
If you plan ahead you should be able to get it out in a day, especially with a helper / cordless tools.
