    Oh boy what a day:goingcrazy:
Job coming up that took myself and the welders by surprise. I knew of the repair a month ago because someone asked me if I recall machining a weld repair on this pump. I said yeah sure do and it shouldn't be no big deal. Yesterday afternoon there's pictures of this pump (horizontal 10 stage) case where it's water erosion at the split line. Hmm. Turns out we have a vendor coming tomorrow for the pre and post heat of the welds. Welders knew nothing of it either. Anyways I spent better part of the day changing configuration of the horizontal mill and training the new kid. Day flying by. Got to go back in shop and pick up.

I had a bunch of Jeeps -- full size V8 power body on frame Wagoneers. I saw a similar view on many of them.
Buying my first Jeep was how I learned to weld.

I think that’s the “jeep thing” people always talk about.

The big Wagoneers were so nice to live with, they calmly plowed through the worst of conditions with ease.
They look bigger than they really are and are surprisingly maneuverable and easy to drive with no blind spots.

    Goodmorning :pccoffee:
Friday is good. Ready for the weekend and forecast calling for a little cooler weather this weekend.
Light rain/sprinkling this morning on drive in. I drove the Tacoma today and it's sat for so long the battery was very low...low enough that I had to reset the clocks time.

Get better soon! Seeing a bunch of flu bug going around. I think 7 out of the last 10 years I've come down with something near the end of July around my b-day.

Back in the mid 80's I worked a part time job at a resort. One of the ladies I worked with had a Jeep CJ with a 401 V8. Guess there were times (kind of like now) where if you had the coin you could special order about anything. She traded me vehicles for a couple of days so I could tune her Jerp in school shop class. It wouldn't pass Arizona emissions testing and my tune up didn't help it. It was a cool Jeep Gold color with Eagle. Hot blonde too
