I can see why I got my truck for below MSRP.
Most on here hate a Pro
    Everyone hates the snorkel.
Army greeen, don't even go there
Oh well, I got what I got.
Trade in / sell a modded TRDOR to look like a pro vs. a Pro and see what happens.
Just don't get all the hate for a Pro.

Yeah, the 22s had the badge from the door removed and replaced that with a bed stamp like the Tundras. Tires, lights, ceramic tint, silly vin stamping, and invisible bra thing added 2k which for what they charge for good tint here, wasn't bad

I paid 4k as well it's what I wanted Lime Manual. They were selling over sticker before the pandemic at most dealers here in AZ so no big deal. I bought a 2020 OR for 5k less than msrp so paying msrp for an OR seems like a worse deal than a pro.

BTW the only dealer here in AZ that sells at msrp without adding on 8k of adds, only doc fee $399 is now listing sale pending on their cars so check it out may have what you want. Makes it easier to see what is actually available. Avondale Toyota

Don't forget the pro headrests, premium sound, maps, home-link mirror, TRD catback muffler, PRO modified LED headlights and unique tail lights, Sport hood scoop and vinyl cover. When you begin adding all that stuff onto a premium OR it costs significantly more.

This is/was the argument: want to change up or add even better suspension and don't need or want all the other features? Get a an OR. Want to just drive the thing with plush Fox shocks and a cool badge for a little more money? Get the pro.

I had both 2020 loaded OR and 2021 and 2022 pro all manual. My OR was loaded msrp was about 2k less than the manual pro. The pro drives much better. By the time I would have switched out everything would have been about 5k more and still wouldn’t be a pro. Plus all the time and hassle. This point in my life ease is most important. I find it funny how people freak about paying an extra $1500 or whatever for their cars when they waste money on $7 coffees and spend 3k on a new tv without a blink and other useless garbage they buy. If you live to be 75 you’ll look back and be like wtf was I thinking :). Do what makes you happy.

AG with the snorkel is probably the most rare.

SR with black housings, LEDs a locker, and the Fox shocks would be a better option. That don't exist, so if that's what you want from the factory. TRD Pro is the only option.

Congrats on making a great deal ! I never thought of asking for a MRA for my trade awesome idea. I agree with other members it is a 2 way street for sure. It's about time others start asking for MRA's for their trade in as well.

Exactly the msrp dealers may sell to you at msrp and lowball on the trade. Often times bringing up well you’ll save on taxes. That has nothing to do with your trade. My trade in at an msrp dealer would have cost me 4K compared to eventually buying at an above msrp dealer. 51.5k versus 44k trade in is ridiculous. The one the bought my trade sold it immediately for 55k.

Buy at the MSRP dealer, and sell at the dealer that won't lowball. Seller's market.

I have heard dealers tell people to take their vehicle to Carmax, they will give them more than the dealer will.

Numbers wouldn’t work would have lost 5k in sale tax credit here in AZ and would be too much of a hassle. Carmax was actually at 50k even so less than the selling Toyota dealer. Plus the msrp dealer really ticked me off as my 2021 Tacoma pro with 2k miles was much better than the 2019 Tacoma pro with 30k miles listed at 54.9k sitting 10 feet to my left while negotiating. Would probably have listed mine for 59k !!!! Just be careful and look at multiple options msrp dealers right now are great if you have no trade.

Just great to hear people get the right deals done! I am not an evil person but I do believe in Karma and I hope that when the markets come back that the people will remember what the stealerships have done or tried to do to them and force dealers to sell at or way below MSRP they deserve it. Not very nice to try and take advantage of people in this economy. I get it though they need to make money but damn come on 10-15k Over. I mean even 1k over and they are making out but double dipping on the customers trade and purchase is a damn shame.
