If you died at work, would anyone notice?

In some jobs, you don’t feel appreciated and in some jobs you feel just like a cog in the machine, but at least it’s comforting to know that if you suddenly keeled over in the middle of work that someone would notice pretty quickly. Sadly, that’s not the case for 51 year old Rebecca Wells, who died suddenly last Friday in her cubicle at the LA County Department of Internal Services and wasn’t discovered dead until Saturday afternoon.

She was slumped over on her desk in the L.A. County Department of Internal Services.
“I came in Saturday to do a little work, and I saw them when they were taking her out,” co-worker Hattie Robertson told KTLA.
The exact time of death is not clear, but detectives say that, at worst, she had been dead for a day before her body was discovered. The last time a co-worker saw her alive was Friday morning around 9:00 a.m., according to Downy police detectives.

That's kinda sad that no one found her for a day. I could see that happening here at my current work. Our cubes are about 6ft tall and hardly anyone works in my wing of the building.

I had a co-worker die at my last job one morning. He had a massive heart attack and died instantly. Collapsed on his keyboard in his cube. Luckily his manager was in the cube next to him and saw it happen.

 

I think my partner and patient would notice. Or even worse John Q Public as the ambulance I'm driving veers into a building or oncoming traffic.

When the helo fell outta the sky...Yeah...Someone would know.

But if I were in my office- It could be a day or two...

Some customer would complain the broccoli wasn't fresh and would complain. Then I would get fired.

 

You'd be fired even AFTER you were dead?
