What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I assume you used 3rd gen struts and springs and added a 1/2" top spacer. Did you do a lean offset or same spacer on both sides. What do you have in the rear. Sport or Off Road struts/springs. Mine has the 1/2" lean so figure I need a 1/4" driver spacer whenever I do 3rd gen Off Road struts and springs.

 

Yes, they are takeoffs from a 3rd gen (2020) Off-Road, front and back, and the spacers in front are 1" on each side... there's a lean but at this point I don't care

 

Capped off the hole on top of Timbren's with a 1 3/8" rubber plug to help keep water/mud out... snug fit (no glue or sealant used). Not sure how it's gonna hold up... figured for $10 what the hell.

 

Did a very thorough detail on my good friends MINTY CLEAN 2003 2wd v6 with 206k on it FOR SALE SLIDE IN MY DM’s if interested. Mechanically and aesthetically tip top.

No idea but it’s a common mod and given how cheap and feature lacking Toyota is it probably doesn’t

There is no airbag behind the A or C pillars. They are in the headliner and side of the seats. If there was one there the handle would do just as much damage.

 

It partially deploys out behind the A pillar and deflect the plastic but just as you said the handle isn’t going anywhere. More likely to get a broken left hand hitting the mount than anything else.

 

A week or so back I installed a Kenwood DMX DD head unit. Then. yesterday I swapped the front 6x9's (disconnected tweeter) with a set of Alpine S-S65 components: 6.5" driver and silk tweeter. Brought back that spatial sound.

Going to try HyperDip on my aluminum skid. It's held up pretty well on my back bumper so far. I spray a scratch protectant on it every wash which I think helps. Just didn't jive with the factory skid color.

Pardon the dumpy garage. You folks with nice garages are fortunate!

It's a 2 beer job so far but there are several coats to go yet. It's Friday!!
