    Well that was sudden. Glad it had a positive outcome. Wheeling will clear up any lingering effects.

    I'm still planning on going tomorrow assuming I don't throw a clot between now and then (too soon?). But I need to head home afterward and unfortunately won't be able to sample the delicious fare Shannon will be cooking up.

    That's a horrible idea. What time?
    Did we pick a time yet? Split the difference for 0930? Meeting here: Sheetz, 798 E Market St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801?

    As for after, my nephew and his wife are moving to Harrisonburg today from Columbus OH. I may swing by there place after and see if they need any thing.

    My to-do list got screwed up for the day, so I thought I'd get the winch on. Then changed my mind because I forgot I'm still waiting on a breather fitting for it.

    Lawn care here I come.

    @Hafaday

    You regret only having a soft top? I found a used one up the street for a really good price and I'm torn. I had plans for a roof rack so a soft top sort of changes that.

    Just get it. When you sell your jeep to a teenage girl, she’s going to want the soft top.

    to be totally honest, No. I don't mind the soft top at all. only drop it completely, every now and then. I do pull the windows out a lot during the late spring thru early fall (safari mode). while it can get hot in the summer even with the windows out, a quick flip of the AC at a stoplight will put a nice breeze of cool air on you till you get moving again. can the ST be loud? That depends on the person as everyone's loud level is different. My Wife doesn't mind the noise or level of noise. but she could also be lying to me.

    Hard top? I think about having one sometimes for a rack of some sort, but that thought always fizzles out. the rack over the soft top looks funny to me. but have thought of it too, as well. LoD made a sliding rack (to the rear) years ago and was pricey. Did like it a lot. Checking their site now, it's a side, slide. but 3k is steep as hell for me (base rack, then the slide). https://lodoffroad.com/category/jk-roof-rack

    Ran across that rack yesterday. And forgot to look at it. That's way too rich for my blood. I'm thinking like a $600 Smittybilt rack.

    I'll probably go by and grab the top. $650 for a like new soft top is an amazing deal.

    @crashdb if you want a loud interior with a soft top, pull the carpet out. might as well be working on a flight line with the noise. Hell, heat transfer, too.
