Bored waiting for my shocks to come back from revalve, so finally painted the drums. Holy crap do they look better.

Removed -> Wire brushed -> Isopropyl'd -> VHT high heat primer -> VHT brake paint -> Rustoleum engine enamel clear -> Then fresh anti-seize on the hubs before reinstalling

Also retorqued everything while the truck is apart since it's been a few weeks since doing the BAMF shackles.

It's a very low power 4 channel amp that's not really designed to be bridgeable and isn't even 2 ohm stable. I only have it running the 4 door speakers and the dash tweeters, and that's pretty much exactly what it's designed to do. I will say that it has nice, clean power throughout the volume range. I chose this amp because it only requires a 15amp power feed, it is incredibly small (about the size of 2 snickers bars sitting next to one another), had great reviews, and is priced very nicely.

It's definitely not going to blow anyone away, but I'd say it gets at least twice as loud as the OEM radio did by itself, maybe even more. It also sounds MUCH cleaner without any distortion or clipping until I get to about 45 on the OEM radio volume setting, and honestly, that distortion/clipping is probably coming from the poor quality OEM head unit. I did install just the front door speakers and tweeters first, and then installed the amp next, because I wanted to see what the difference was with/without the amp. It was definitely worth the extra effort and money to install the amp, too. The speakers alone did make a huge difference, but the amp made it so much better.

If I do eventually decide to run a sub, I'll probably do something like @MGMDesertTaco said and just run a Kicker or JL powered sub with a built-in amplifier. I used to have some pretty hardcore audio setups in my younger days, but those days are very far behind me now. I just turned 40 and I spend more time hauling my son to and from baseball practice than I do listening to good music. So I figure I have no business rocking three 10" subs or two 15s like I used to, with audio setups that are worth 4 or 5 times more than the vehicle I'm running them in. I just wanted something that sounded much better than the OEM setup, that I could turn up to a decent volume from time to time, without costing me a fortune. Mission accomplished :)

I went with just the corners (front) because my trax boards are on place at the front wall.
But I like that full span strength & versitility.

(poor photo, but you can see enough of it):

I did this to my 2016 a few months back. I had frustration about the passenger mat moving around when entering and exiting the truck. This morning I ordered these. I hope they will lock the mat in same as what is on the driver side. I will do an install updated once I get my truck back from the dealership.

It seemed crazy to me that the carpet floor mats are still an option.

I painted and installed an aftermarket TRD PRO style skid plate I picked up for $100.00 off craigslist.
My buddy had a leftover TRD OR decal from his project Tacoma he gave me that I used.
Don't really care for how it looks with the decal though.
Not going to bother removing it I'll wait to sacrifice it on the altar of the high desert sands this weekend.
