1999 Tacoma - Pittsburgh, PA

West coast Toyota Tacoma bought new in San Jose, California. It's been kept in my family since purchase with regular maintenance and records to show for it. After getting a fuel efficient car, I no longer have a need for the taco. It was mostly our camping vehicle when we were living in California. Most of the miles that were put on were highway miles, it was never used for commuting. We moved here to Pittsburgh just one year ago so the frame is fairly clean (not rusty like my mechanic said most older PA vehicles are).


The truck needed to be be well maintained to pass the strict emissions standards of California. It easily passed in Pennsylvania and is registered for another year. The clutch was just replaced in 2020. I want to make full disclosure on all issues. There is body damage and paint is not perfect in a few spots which you can see in the photos. Also the fuel gauge does not work. I keep my eye on the miles after a fill-up and have never run out of gas this way. I've driven this across the country a few times so was never an issue.

Just on the wrong side of the county

 

Hi everyone interested in buying a Tacoma in western Pennsylvania. I was holding onto mine for awhile but don't need it any longer. I only drove it 500 miles in the last year and that was mostly just to drive it once a week. If anyone is interested and lives in Pittsburgh or wants to travel to check it out let me know.

One other update, the battery was replaced earlier this year.

It may have been. My in-laws purchased it new so I'm not actually sure if they got in from Capitol Toyota. All I know is it came from a dealership in San Jose. Interestingly enough, it was manufactured in Fremont, CA at the site of the current Tesla factory.
