Hey everyone, I got a question for your bigger brains. Martha threw a P0456 code, an improvement from the P0455 I had a few months ago. I've done the basics, a new gas cap, and a new Purge valve solenoid. The new purge valve fixed the problem for a few months but here I am now. The code comes back a few days after deleting it.
From what I've seen it could be a charcoal canister issue but I don't want to take that out if I don't have to.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips?

 

How long have you been sitting on that?

 

Check your evaporative emission hoses from your gas tank. I had some marmots chew on one of mine a few years back on a camping trip, left a super small hole that would cause that code every 2-3 days.

Easier to kinda feel them for any "chew" marks. $22 in parts an like 2 1/2 hours of work to get them swapped out. They come right out of the top of the tank

 

Old campers are a GOLD MINE for people with warrants and meth.

 

lol, it's wild, i live up that hill behind lowes and drive by daily... there are a few of the same ones there, but one in particular takes up about 10 parking spots and it is an old ass RV. Doesn't really blend in too well! I did see he had relocated to the pizza hut parking lot yesterday

 

For real! Funny you say that, today also in Silverthorne was an armed stand off with a truck camper pulling a trailer posted up in front the appliance/mattress store... shut down the roads for hours. Guy with some sort of warrants out of idaho? owned it... turns out he wasn't in the truck after all

 

What about people with paper plates that expired last November? I just saw one yesterday.

 

Saw some that expired in July 2020 the other day lol

Lol. This is me. I never got my renewal in the mail last month. So I called Arapahoe & they told me to wait 7-10 bus. days & then pay online if it never comes. It never showed up & I had to print out my receipt & tape in the back shell window.

 

Ohhhh temp tags. Yeah, more so see like 5+ year old actual plates.

Saw a camper from Canada expired in 2014 the other day

Also, fun fact. Temp tags do not hold a "grace period" like normal plates do. You have 30 days from the day your actual plate expires to register, and you can't be fined. On temp tags, they expire the next day from the date on the tag
