I've been searching for pro grill alternatives that will accommodate my front facing camera other than going OEM, which is quite expensive. The best alternative I've found so far has been the pro grill from Taco Vinyl with the garnish and front camera bracket at $269 for the entire package. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this set-up? If so, did you have any problems with the garnish and the TSS or the positioning/installation of the front camera? Any input would be appreciate. Thanks! :)

I have this on order. I ordered a cheaper one from Yotaverse only to be told I needed to order the separate camera bracket from TacoVinyl. So I just returned it and ordered the whole package from the source.

From a video I saw this morning about the Yotaverse grill, the screw holes on the Taco Vinyl camera mount don't line up with the holes on the Yotaverse grill, so the guy doing the install mounted the camera bracket to the Yotaworks grill with duct tape. Looks like you made the right move. I may just go ahead and order. I was hoping someone out there had some experience with it but looks like we are trailblazers lol.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the order. Hopefully it's as good as the reviews and videos say. The Taco Vinyl site says 2-4 weeks lead time so it will be a while, but we shall see :)

@NCTocko Just curious about when you placed your order with Taco Vinyl and if you received a shipping notification yet. Thanks :)

    Oh look, another mod....
That's the grille setup that I have. I also bought the color matched lettering:

I have not had ANY issues with the TSS sensor or the positioning of the front camera. I think the camera has a better angle now, because I can see a wider angle. When it was down low, I could only see RIGHT in front of the truck, now I can see a few feet in front.

Looks great, glad to hear you didn't have any issues with the TSS sensor or the camera. Was everything put together when you got it (garnish, camera braket, lettering) or did you have to assemble it? I didn't pay extra for the color matched letters so I'll just have the standard gray.

I had to assemble it, because the TSS sensor and camera have to be moved over to the new grille. The new grille comes with the sensor cover, but the actual sensor unit has to be moved. It's very simple to do, just unscrew it from the old and put it on the new one. The same goes for the front camera. Unscrew it from the old one, put it in the bracket then mount it to the new grille.

The most difficult thing (for me), was unclipping the old grille from the grille surround. Those tabs can be really tough.

All in, I spent: 20 minutes disconnecting and reconnecting everything.

I'm sorry, I confused things by not being specific enough (insufficient coffee today!). My bad! I meant did the camera bracket and garnish come mounted on the grill insert already or did you have to put those on?

I had to mount that to the new grille myself. It was not assembled. If I remember correctly the bracket holes on the camera mount line up with holes already on the grille itself. The garnish (this is the plate covering) does come attached. No work is needed there. I think it's a fixed piece, meaning you cannot remove it or adjust it at all. It's part of the overall plastic molding.

Thank you sir :) I watched the install video about 4 times before I placed the order because I'm mechanically impaired and doing mods scares the crap out of me lol. It looked pretty basic so I figured if I could do the Meso Total Tail Stage 1, I could probably tackle this one....famous last words :)

With supply chain delays, you'll probably get it in 2023. Maybe it'll be an early Christmas present?!

Did you have to cut the camera bracket from your Sport grill to get it to work in the new grill? From the research I did the bracket isn't a straight swap, plus I didn't like the all black. You are right, this version, which is actually the grill out of the TRD lift kit, can be done less expensively than the "regular" pro grill.

    No cutting. Bought this https://westcottdesigns.net/product/toyota-tacoma-front-camera-relocation-bracket/

    It’s the same “regular” grille.

Also. I am the least handy person on the entire planet and I swapped out the grills and camera brackets in like 30 minutes. It’s a piece of cake.
