I am really loving this CRF, but I still wish I had my DRZ. Damn work and their "Any extreme activities" questions  Sold the bike b/c of that and they never asked that question again......................probably start again since I bought another bike...........but I'll just have to lie

Extreme activities questions? I'd insist on a written definition of what defines an extreme activity.

I didn't temp it. I have to keep this job just for the insuance. It pays all of my diabetes supplies with no out of pocket cost. Didn't want to get on the "radar" and lose it :D

It all worked out in the end. I got a bike I'm really enjoying.......just a bit of extra money

Scraped the kickstand in a turn on the Navi today, surprised the hell out of me. I'm putting way too much trust into those tiny tires

Such an awesome bike. When I find my winning lotto ticket, I'm grabbing one of those and a Tenere 700 all expo'd out  Then I'm gonna have to buy 1000 acres of land to ride them on

At current prices if you win the lotto you can have 5-6 acres of land and a used bike haha.

The tires feel like they want to fall into the lean. Like going straight isnt good enough.

I think thats a good feeling?

What's your guys' opinions on helmet life? Taking apart my Schuberth to clean the liner I noticed it is tagged as 1/2017 production date. I bought it new and started wearing it in September 2019. Schuberth says they should be replaced every 5-7 years so I'm leaning towards I have another two years of safe life left. Mine is now 5.5 years old but a bit under three years of actual use.

Never dropped that I recall. Would you figure five years since manufactured or five years since it was first taken out of the box and worn?

If it were me, 5 from manufacturers date. But I usually start wearing it right away.

I'd give it until the middle to end of 2024 to start looking for a new helmet. How quiet is your Schuberth? I normally use Shoei helmets but have read that Schuberths are wind tunnel tested to be very quiet.

It’s way quieter than any other helmet I’ve had but I still like to use earplugs if I’m going to be riding above 50mph for more than a few miles. Not full on foamies, then I can’t hear anything. I think the ones I use are rated for around a 17db reduction.

On my 750GS with a taller windscreen I didn’t need earplugs.

Edit: I should have added that mine is the E1 ADV helmet, probably the loudest of their lineup even with the visor removed.
