Nice Jerry! That's freaking awesome Brother! I know that exact area. We were there (Myrtle Beach) for Bike Week in like 1990 something, a couple times. I especially liked Murells Inlet (sp?). There was a bar there with skid marks on the tire floor from when a car crashed through the wall. It had some great seafood restaurants too, right on the water. It's also a little bit more protected from minor storms. Lovely place. South Myrtle had a place called the Doghouse, and, there was a bar right on the main north south road between these main areas, and they roasted whole hogs, and we'd buy pitchers of mixed drinks. It was almost 20 of us that went. My family back then. Some were my actual family. They were the ones that got me into switching over to the dark side.

The really cool area though was north, up at The Grand Strand area I believe it's called. It was very reminiscent of Orlando Florida in the 80s. Which is where I had my first Hurricane, at a place called Rosie O'Gradys.

The Grand Strand though was my first experience with The Hard Rock Cafe. It was a pyramid shape. Another place had dueling pianos, and more to do and see. We loved it!

I could probably live there. Except for the hurricanes it's wonderful. The people at the time would bend over backwards for us. It was very profitable for them for that week. They have what I believe is one of the oldest carousels in the country, or maybe it was a pipe organ but it was in centra Myrtle. We were staying on the main drag just south on like 16th street (it's similar to OC, Md.) And the main weekend the time to get there would increase to almost an hour. The heads around the exhaust ports, and my straight pipes for like 5" would glow red on that 82' XLS Roadster!

We had some great times there and we have great memories.

And I don't have a enclosed trailer anymore but I have a tandem axle utility trailer, and as always, mi casa esu casa.


Oh and we'll definitely need to set up a takeover weekend since more of Y'all are down there now.

Maybe entice that Hillbilly @Slow Internet to show up.

 

Amazon has an ARB recovery point for $290. Any local places that sell them for close to that? I hate to buy from Amazon if I can support a local shop.
