Update on the tow package thing, looks like the dealer charged $550 for the hitch receiver.
Then the original owner (who I bought the truck from) went back shortly after and paid the dealer lots more to add steps & the TRD supercharger.

 

That explains the 4 pin connector. They sell the harness for that to plug into the non-tow package trucks, but you cannot add a 7 pin harness to the truck. I bought one and had to sell it because it wouldn't work.

 

If you have a four pin harness you can add something like this and run a few extra wires for the brake controller, 12v constant + and aux reverse lights. It uses the existing 4pin and you wire in the other three

this is how I added a 7 pin to my 2.7L truck

 

From what I remember, PRO springs were rated at 700lbs, BAJA springs were rated at 650lbs. With a steel front bumper, you would have more sag with the 700 than the 650. Other members have opted for 600lb springs from Eibach to offset the weight of a steel front bumper.

Passed another pro last night on a back road by Bradford regional airport in north central Pa. It was awesome to see another one as mine is the only one I've seen in person ever. If your on here, nice rig!

 

This morning we were in the mountains outside of Crested Butte CO. It's rained a few days And is predicted for more the next 5 days. Tonight we're outside of Fruita CO, near the Trail Through Time.

They don't actually match....I painted three bronze ones in Gunmetal Grey so I could have matching trailer rims and a matching spare....

With mileage above ~70k, what's the point of getting a Baja? The suspension is probably done or needs to be replaced soon, so you just have a TRD OffRoad with a Baja decal, shorter bump stops, and the exhaust?
