I have a 2012 DCSB 4WD. There is rattling sound coming from under vehicle I’m hoping someone can help me identify. When I get under the truck it seems to be in area of the transmission but I can’t find any loose heat shields. Worst when idling in drive, occasionally heard in neutral. And it is LOUD. Hear it over stereo and makes ordering at a drive through impossible without putting in neutral or park.

Link to video/sound. Won’t let me embed due to being a “short”

Sounds like it could be a catyletic converter that is coming apart internally, sometimes you can bang on the exhaust pipes when its cool and locate it.

Thanks. I’ll have to try that tomorrow before I head into work. Looks like that’s gonna be fairly expensive if it’s the problem.
