I've had no issues thus far with the xc8 that came with it, but that said I've only charged it used it and recharged it so far if it does crap out on me I'll let you know.

As for the string trimmer itself don't know if it makes a difference but I got the fuel line one with the brushless motor and quick change tool shaft, I would say with the 8 amp hour battery it's a little more biased towards the back end but that weight kind of pivots from the front handle in your offhand and when your main hand is comfortably on the trigger the weight just kind of pushes up against your main forearm and if anything it kind of makes it balance better and feel lighter gives you a little more control at least that's how I feel definitely better and lighter than any gas trimmer in my opinion, you can comfortably one hand it for a little bit if you needed to.l, and it's even more comfortable to do that that is with a gas trimmer because there's a smaller end, and you don't have to worry about fumes or anything super hot burning you.

Next time I'm at that store I'm going to pick up the shoulder strap for it didn't realize it didn't come with it, that is a major criticism I have it really should have especially on the two pack fuel kit, but when I was trimming my yard my off hand shoulder was getting tired from steering the trimmer head before my primary arm was feeling fatigued from holding it up.

While I do like my Milwaukee tools.
I have been less than impressed with their Shockwave bits.

Best for the money I’ve found is Dewalt:anonymous:
Next would be Wiha (more expensive)
Followed by Makita Gold (most expensive) + They last a long time, you can buy 2-3 Dewalt for the same price.

I should say, all my experience comes from building decks. Mostly Phillips, T25 and T30.
So the other bits might hold up better?

Is this the kit you purchased. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...y-M18-FUEL-Blower-2825-21ST-2724-20/309032488

I got the same feeling with the Toro in my shoulder. I returned and bought a Stihl with a curved shaft. I figure the weed eater with the curved have less of length so it should be more balance. Now that It's 7 years old with carb issues it time to say goodbye. Hello cordless.

My neighbor has a Ryobi weed eater that is taller than he is. This is awkward to watch. He hold like he's holding a child.

Both work great on my 3/4 acre lot. I see no need for anything larger.

I've got the harbor freight heat gun and its pretty good for the price, my coworker has the m18 heat gun but both he and I am unimpressed with the power.

    Yup that's the one.

Pretty good deal vs buying each separately, comes with that giant 8AH battery and the rapid charger.

Thinking about getting the limb chainsaw attachment and the brush cutter head for it.

Is the holiday sale the best time to buy the kit?

The Home Depot webpage says come with free battery. Do I get 2 instead of one battery with this kit?

Bigger yard than me. I think I'm on 1/4 acre.

Is the XC8 good for most outdoor equipment?

Just look at the Milwaukee lawnmower, Those mower are expensive. I'll stick with my Honda.

I would say that of all my batteries the 8.0Ah XC gets the most or tied with the 5.0Ah XC. We alternate between the 8 and 5 in our vacuum. I don’t think I’ve exhausted my 12.0Ah but once?

I don’t use my tools as much as I think I do.

That being said I use Ryobi weed eater and blower with 4Ah batteries and two of those are good enough for me to trim, edge and blow clear all the sidewalks and edges for a 0.3 acre lot.

I've got the m18 blower and it eats up the 8ah battery in about 20 minutes, my coworker has the m18 weekeater and he says it lasts a while, I guess the blower just used a lot of juice.

Damn, I use a HO 3.0 and it lasts awhile on my leaf blower.

Then again I never use full blast as it's way strong

Blower is also for the most part is constantly running full tilt when you're using the tool whereas the weed eater you're only usually using juice in little spurts here and there and mostly just carrying it around "in use" unless you like "revving the engine" like me.

That I don't know, I got mine from Rural King they usually have the best prices around me but weren't running any deals like that when I was there.

Maybe the HO batteries are better for the yard tools, yeah I use my blower on full blast.

    Maybe!

I've got a lot of 5.0AH batteries but those are strictly for my top-off (inverter) tool or impact. I had one that lasted me a year without charging after using it for multiple vehicle repairs, including removing lug nuts and leaf spring bolts.

Good point; Fuel variant could be much more efficient.

Mine is a Fuel version and like I said, it lasts awhile. Never knew a non-Fuel version existed as HD never carried it near me.
