How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

I have no idea. The dealer also seems to have no idea.

 

Time line for me

Ordered allocated Barcelona Red Offroad Dual cab at msrp on May 10th from Toyota of Bristol
Was built May 24th
Picked it up June 24th

 

trd sport, access cab, manual transmission, premium audio, led headlights.

Timeline for me:

02/12/22 - Deposit
04/06/22 - Build
04/08/22 - Allocation (prev alloc fell thru?)
04/27/22 - Long Beach port arrival
04/30/22 - 05/05/22 ETA Range
05/06/22 - no real updates, stuck in “F”
06/22/22 - I get impatient, text salesman that something needs to happen. He contacts GM. GM contacts some people and says it should be moving soon.
06/23/22 - “G” status
06/24/22 - Truck arrives at dealership
06/25/22 - I pay for and pick up truck


Kind of curious how the next day after the GM is contacted it mysteriously goes to “G” after almost two months in “F”. Makes me think it was chilling at our local inland rail port and it could have gotten in much earlier. Either way, that’s my timeline and I’m loving my truck. Hope this helps others who have run into snags.

 

@Rod03 Could you check on VIN 3TMDZ5BN6NM133637? Last update was just that it was built on 6/4 and waiting to get on truck to dealership here in Tucson. Sales guy says it’ll probably just show up on the lot one day randomly. I’m away on vacation, and wouldn’t be able to pick it up for a bit, so curious if there’s any further info. Thanks - another beer headed your way for your time!

Although, I'm "Reeeeee"-ing hard still being on hold for half a year now.

Timeline:
01/22/22 - $1,000 Deposit on a TRD Sport
04/05/22 - Still no Allocation, but dealer offered a chance at a used 20 that came in that they were selling at new price. (Pass, If I wanted used I'd go look for used) Told sales guy just open up my deposit to anything with the advanced tech package.
04/23/22 - Got call from sales guy, They got Allocation on a Limited. I told him to put me down for it.
06/04/22 - Build Date

But no updates in the system yet since.

 

That's ridiculous that you're waiting this long, during these months have looked elsewhere?

 

Unfortunately no, I'm in Montana so there are only a handful of dealerships within a 3 hour drive distance and I'm already using the highest volume dealership in the state.

Has your dealer given you any sort of updates or explanation? That’s wild!

 

Deposit Nov 2021 here.. no allocation as of 6/26/2022... I was even told I will most likely be a 2023 model at this point

I would gotten my money back and tell the dealer to KMA

 

The excuse is because I want a TRD-OR DCLB with premium and advanced.

I had a hard time locating as well as 7 dealers DCLB TRD OR Lunar Rock, finally one dealer had one on order, will be here in a week or so

 

So I was told my deposit would carry over to a 2023, but I just assume the same shortage will apply... I am now considering a DCSB , but want the premium amd advanced tech, BUT at that point it's basically a PRO just without the long bed.

 

Started to see more Tacoma coming up from the Border lately, seems like production is rolling through
