So far so good! You’re right and I’m sure I’ll find more things to by even though I should be done….
Well, I gotta save up to buy the scooped hood since I don’t see a trade happening.

You planning on doing the carbon fiber route or OEM? Wish we knew someone who worked at a body shop. Haha.

yes, the Rotella T6 is a diesel oil. It's impossible to find it in quarts around me, just the 1 gallon jug, wally world usually had the best pricing on it. It has been impossible to find over the past 6 months, I had to use my last remaining stash to do the last oil change on the 'runner. I justify using the 5w40 over the recommended 5w30 by thinking to myself that the engine has 250K on it, a little bit of extra viscosity is ok because there has to be some wear on the crank and rod bearings by now.

I remember reading about the T6 on T4R. o r g, there was an oil guru that understood how the oils used to be made and how they've changed for emissions reasons. One of the biggest pollutants was the zinc levels in the older oils as the zinc would get burned off ( in very minute particles) in the exhaust system, contributing to bad emission levels. The newer oils for cars and light trucks have almost no zinc in them but the heavy duty trucks ( think semi tractors, heavy equipment and such) still need the zinc for bearing protection. It seems to make sense, I haven't had anything negative happen from using it other then oil changes get expensive. I still run a OE oil filter, I've cut a few open and have been surprised at how well they're constructed. The closest aftermarket filter would be a Wix, construction quality wise.

Hey as long as you’re having good results and it gives you the tinglies, then that’s all that matters, lol. I thought about picking up a 10W-30, but said nah, I’ll stick with the 5W-30. I don’t want to have too much variation when I do this so called “experiment.”

A great resource I recently discovered is PQIA.org, they have info and specs on all motor oils and it’s awesome to read and compare everything! As far as filters go, it’s always been the D3’s, and before that it was the D1’s. But recently I’ve played around with Wix and Napa Golds. I read some info earlier that changed my mind about Napa Golds and I have every intention to switch back to the D3’s now. I’ll even post a screenshot of it. The thread was from 2009, but the facts still remain. When you look at square inches of filtering media, the D3 is the winner between the two. But according to this, the Purolator PureONE takes the cake. Which I’ve never used before.

I’m running the Dewalt 60v attachment capable trimmer. I have a 12ah and a 9ah battery and never gone through the full 12, granted I only have a quarter acre lot. I also have a pole saw, edger and hedge trimmer attachments for it.

I was starting from scratch being a new homeowner last year, and already had the 9ah battery as part of my power tool set so figured best to stay within the same platform, and it’s been great so far. The leaf blower is the one that really burns through batteries quick, but I was given a backpack gas one when my parents downsized also.

I think it’ll just be the OEM. I’ve seen a few times where the hood itself was about 300 and think I would get everything and it wrapped for 800 or so… if I’m lucky lol

I’ve been using an Ego whacker and edger attachment with the 5ah and it’s been great! Plenty of power and that battery lasts about 2 hours
