This is who makes our kits for us. We don’t typically sell brake lines only because we order specific quantities for our kits.

My suggestion is to call Crown and they will make you whatever you need

thanks gents. Tied up at work. Just wanna be a grease money but work is always getting in the way.

should I just remove that bracket and run a long line from the 90 elbow to spindle. or should I relocate the bracket from the side of the frame to the top?

    What’s best?

Long line from the upper junction already on the frame right to where it connects on the caliper. Then remove the bracket.

I never saw any on tacos until I wheeled with some guys at AOP recently. That’s the tire for the land around here. So much beefier than any “road” mud terrain I’ve seen.

Nice. Everyone’s linking lately. Leafs are for trees #amIrite?

Jk, tons of great builds out there both linked and leaf sprung. Don’t hurt me

making it yourself or was it a kit? I’m looking for a new or 4 link kit so I can avoid SUA and go linked, I can install but unfortunately life is preventing me from fabricating my own kit right now.

I used a kit from RuffStuff, but Barnes is another good option if you know what you need and want to piece it together. I got DOM from RuffStuff, too as it was cheaper than my local steel supplier somehow.

you can find generic kits that will work. I decided to make my own so I could have shorter arms, better in rocks, and get the geometry that I wanted.

The only extra work you will be doing compared to a kit is the math.

Looking for some noob advice here, dont flame me please.

I like beach driving in NC, obviously nothing compared to west coast desert bombing. I have mid travel front, 12 inch foxes in rear with dakars (a few leafs removed). Rear is ample, very cushy, but the front is constantly topping out.

Looking at +2 lt kit, brand doesnt matter for me but total chaos is probably going to be my first choice.

Will a lt front at least give me enough front travel to be able to go a little faster without front tires feeling like theyre coming off the ground every bump? Not even considering bypasses at this stage either.

    Second question:
Will a +3.5 give the same ride quality as a +2?

    Third question:
Can you run either of these setups without major tuning or a bypass to get some gains over a mid travel front?

I have a JD 2.25 kit and it was a night and day difference for me. I don’t really wheel fast, but would top out super easy on my old mid travel set up. I never feel like I’m running out of travel now on any sprinted runs or crawling. I find myself going faster now just because I can and it’s fun. I don’t have bypasses just super bumps and that’s more than plenty for my needs.

I think you get the most bang from your buck with the JD kit if you’re looking for LT. The company should matter when you’re dropping that much coin and the JD support is like no other in my opinion.

Awesome I will check them out! I would assume they sell +2.25 axles?

They have 934 CVs which are a bulletproof option and allow a bit more travel. I went that route, but any +2 axle will work with it as far as I know.
