Well that was interesting. Thank you.

The last person I knew that took a lion was a long time ago with dogs.

    Of course, any time.

I've never harvested a cat, but been along for the ride a few times. My main concern is that within a single year our State is now pushing senate bills to arbitrarily protect predators because the shitiots have an agenda to meet. Colorado is changing a bit too fast for my liking these days.

My brother-in-law guides for the Whitaker Brothers and they hunt mountain lions pretty often with dogs down in unit 85

Most would attribute that to an influx of people with a differing political ideology than what Colorado used to have.

maybe the recent pet attacks in back yards of some Boulder residents will help end this push to stop mtn. lion and bobcat hunting in Colo.

    Hey, one can only hope....

As did I. Luckily there's plenty of good OTC units. Let me know if you want to team up I hiked all over the place last year scouting

I don't even know if I have a turkey plan, usually just put in for points and get an OTC in case I happen to cross one when I'm down south

Wonder if the draw deadline will be extended again like last year.. I put in for 1st/2nd season Elk in a unit where they're being pushed from the neighboring OTC unit. Likely won't get in there, my buddy and his brother had 10 and 12 points when they finally drew. Also put in for a buck in the unit my property is on, some pretty solid studs last year, so might get lucky, about 50% chance to draw

Drew a buck tag in the unit my property is on. Hoping that big mulie comes back I saw last year. Still waiting on elk draw but not likely will get awarded

Got deer and pronghorn, with 50% prior year odds did not get elk. OTC archery and hoping to snag something second draw or leftovers

I’ve gotten an animal or two every year since I’ve started hunting (only 3 seasons so far) but not an elk yet! Been focusing on archery and it’s proving difficult. Getting better though. Thinking of putting points towards rifle elk to increase my chances

Drew an antlered elk 1st rifle unit 11 and a friend drew an antlerless elk 1st rifle unit 11. Hoping that combo means one of us will get lucky.

Have you guys ever gone to family shooting center range in Cherry Creek state park? I was there a couple of weeks ago trying to sight in my scopes on a couple of my rifles and it felt like the bench/table at the rifle range was just waaaayyy too low to the ground. You sit down and its like you have to really hunch and bend down to look through your scope.
