I noticed the lenses on my Baja Designs S1 were bulged and cracked, presumably being melted from the LED. I called them up to get a new set of replacement lenses but he was worried it would just happen again if there's an underlying issue with the board letting the LED get too hot, so I mailed them in to get checked out. He said they'll freshen them up, replace whatever is necessary and get them back out quickly.

Having rolled up on a few car fires...it is amazing how quickly the extinguisher seems to empty in those situations!

 

Honesty I didn’t even use it! Once I realized she could get out of the car herself I chose to prioritize getting away from the car over everything. Plus it was in the back of my mind how you’ve said nothing short of a 20 lb extinguisher is going to do a lot of good.

Hmmm. I have a set I'm about to install. You run them for long periods of time? Hours?

 

Yeah, I like to use them for running lights offroad and they'll run for a few hours. I don't think melting of the lens should happen though, as I would consider that normal use. Comparable to using them as scene lights at camp at night.

 

Terrorizing the HOA at night by flooding their windows with light is not normal use, Randall.

 

Neighbor David? Is that you? Listen, stop complaining when I make noise at a 10am on a Wednesday morning. Your need to sleep until noon every day is what's not normal.

How has VA been treating the family as of late?

 

Been fine so far, we’re here for one more year. Kara graduates pediatric residency in a couple of weeks and then will be an attending physician and chief resident for a year. I’m still work from home a lot, our government leads have given the contractors a lot of freedom, so long as we meet deliverables. George turns two in October and is a little ham. What about you guys, how are you doing? Any end in sight to your deployment?

 

Tony is not impressed by George's pooping skills and would like the opportunity to show him how it's done.
