I'm interested in the OTT tune too. Any OTT tuners in Michigan?

I have a 2021 Tacoma & I live in FL where there are no hills what so ever. My issue is while in 6th gear, I get a surging while driving 70-80 mph. It's feels like your running out of gas, or there is a misfire. The RPM's are steady, so it's not an engine problem. I took into dealership for service at 5k mile service, they said truck drives as expected, & claimed they tested it against another Tacoma to verify. I'm sure this is a transmission update issue, I hope. Any thoughts?

Will any tune get rid of the surging in 6th gear? OTT, or KDMAX

Had that issue when I was running the kdmaxx stuff. Super annoying on the highway when you get the random Rev up. Issue was remedied after switching to OTT. Way smoother transitions from gear to gear

I’m in Lake Tahoe at the moment - and will be swinging by Sacramento in the next few days… is there anyone in the vicinity?

    - I don’t do the ‘gram and Facebook wanted some ID info for my account… so I nixed it!

    thanks!

Anybody in SC capable of helping me get set up with this tune?

Weighing options and trying to figure out if it's worth the investment for vf for a one time tune or not.

You could hit up @InternationalHarvester in the Reno area. He also covers Sacramento.

I recently upgraded from 265/75/16 SL Ultraterrains (31.6 inch, 40 lbs per tire, and great tire BTW) to some FJ rims and 255/80/17 E-rated Cooper S/T Maxx's (32.8 inch, 51 lbs per tire), and my mileage hardly took a hit. Drove over Independence Pass yesterday, and even with the heavier, larger tires, I still got over 22 MPGs whereas I was getting 23 on my smaller Ultraterrains.

I chose OTT for the torque and performance. The MPGs have been an unexpected bonus.

For those of us in CA, Has anyone been dinged on there Smog check that has OTT? Mt understanding is that they are looking for a Checksum number to match. This number is found using a binary comparison of the file on the car vs the stock file. I cant confirm this, but theoretically any change in that file would cause a different Hex code to be generated causing a failure.
