Only a clown would compare a v6 sound to a v8. The rest of us can appreciate them for what they are. The discussion isn't about v8 exhaust. It's about v6.
It's always the redneck that chimes in first with BUT IT AIN'T NO V8!

Absolutely. I look at it as how good can I make my V6 sound lol. Plus extra performance is always nice.

Another vote for Borla. Black tip looks and sounds great, no drone.

There is no "best" because none of them is going to do anything for performance. Which ever one makes the fart sounds you like best.

Yeah v8 lmao . I get many compliments on my mrbp performance XP single out . I have the urd cross over ypipe in addition and it definitely made it beefier . I love how v6 tacomas sound . They are unique to their own.

Classic! I have done a lot of upgrades that actually improve performance but, the Cat Back is definitely about vanity and the "fart sounds I like the best." F**k it, I spent a lot of money on suspension & my inner teenager likes to hear my rig braap through tunnels!

I put one on my truck right away with an S&B intake. I can tell you for sure I have pissed off all my neighbors. So one box checked off. Second I can tell you for sure I gained 37 Hp according to my as* and balls vibrating in the seat. Box 2 check. 3rd the black tip looks awesome. Finally, the sound is exactly like a V8 desert racer with an aggressive cam and advanced timing wide open when cruising at 2k rpm’s

Honestly though, I like mine. It is loud with the S&B, but I am ok with it. It is not my daily driver, just turned 6k miles and almost 2 years old now

I Agree, nothing wrong with a little rumble when you fire up your rig! I have Borla on my second Gen, and it definitely sounds a little deeper. The 3rd Gen model still sounds great tho, with no drone and not ricey!

Anyone have the Borla with the URD pipe and what the sound difference is?

I have had the Borla on for a while now and was considering the y-pipe also.

Also the only complete exhaust that provides the benefits of increase clearance and a equal length y-pipe section to help the engine scavenge more efficiently. The exhaust note is slightly jdm, not the typical growl that most truck owners are looking for though.
