I can confirm (knocking on wood) that I have not had any squeeks yet. Ive been running it for approx 2 weeks. How long before you started experiencing the squeeks?

Unfortunately, it was a few months before I started noticing anything. It's going under the knife today (per the Toyota tech), so I'll keep y'all posted. In the meantime, I'm not mad about the camry rental they gave me - way better MPG and it's a squirrely fk'er.

Can confirm I also have a squeak on the driver side. Oddly, If I rotate the nut holding the top hat onto the shock body and spray the bushing with some lubricant it’ll cease for a couple days.

Definitely not a long term solution, but am curious why eibach does not think this is an issue.

Didn't take long for the Eibach guy to look at the thread I sent him...

Similar experience here; I've had the springs installed since March and have squeaked on both sides since. Silicone lube seems to quiet it some for a few days but then it comes back... Later next month my shop will be able to take a longer look at them and hopefully figure something out

Even if it was a bushing issue, they never squeaked when stock. I marked each top hat to ensure they were installed at the exact same spot as stock in relation to the shock body.

My best guess is the extreme angle the top hats were once installed with the new spring is forcing that bushing against the strut tower. Everything straightened up with load, but I can’t see any better way to install the springs/struts when following all manufacturer recommended torque specs and marking all stock orientations.

The latest from Toyota: “Good morning! Yeah sorry for the late reply. We are still trying to figure out where the rubbing is coming from. The springs have a offset cut that is causing the top hats to not sit properly. We’re trying to determine where exactly it’s rubbing and what the next step is.” Didn’t we conclude in this thread that it’s a manufactured design that normalizes under load?

    Yeah.
The older models had the spring ends ground flat, with flat perches. The newer models are not ground and have a lower perch that accommodates the spring coil without being ground flat. But, the top hat only has the rubber isolator, so until the coilover is installed it might be a little crooked.

I'm wondering if this is the source of the squeaking. As the suspension moves up and down, there might be a slight twist at the top against that isolator. Putting some grease on both sides of the isolator might be worth a shot.

Has anyone with a '17-'19 and flat spring ends experienced the squeaking? I have not but mine have only been on for 2 months.

If not, it seems as though this might be isolated to the '20+ spring design which is different.

I ask because they’re saying the design is causing wear/squeak and they can’t remember what the OEM tops look like.

Yah, if you aren’t interested in this kit, I wouldn’t advise it.
