How do I tell if my truck has JBL system?

Didn’t have factory stereo in Tacoma how do I tell if my truck has JBL system? Don’t have insignia on speakers? Look up Vin? Thanks

 

The door panels by the speakers would also say JBL. VIN lookup is another option.

 

Head unit will say jbl along with ^

I believe limited does come with JBL. But I'm not 100% certain of that.

 

Well I looked up and bought vin report and still can’t see if it has JBL but I have noticed that the stereos that have Jbl are double din not single din like the ones without I could be wrong any where else to look?

I'm not as up on the 3G but my 2010 had a double DIN even though it was bare bones. Post a pic if you can

 

Maybe Toyota.com would tell you the specs. Make an account and enter your VIN and it tells you a lot of stuff. For whatever reason, I tried to go on the site now and it keeps kicking me to a page about the new Corolla Cross Hybrid.

 

My JBL doesn’t have the storage area behind the rear passenger seat. If yours does, my bet is you don’t have jbl.

 

JBL system will have a few tell tale signs.
Speaker grills on the doors will say JBL
Radio says JBL
the panel behind the passenger rear seat will have a subwoofer

If there is nothing on the speaker grills then there is a 99.9% chance you dont have JBL. The last owner would of had to replace all 4 door panels with non jbl ones and that would of been a waste of money as the only thing different between JBL and non-JBL is the little grill badge.

 

You have to pull out the head unit and look at the serial number on the back. It should have xxxyourafoolxxx.

 

Your profile says you have a 2016 Sport 6 Speed. That is not a Limited.

Also, in 2016 the JBL was not available with a manual transmission.
