Digging the foot clutch and jockey shift. I’ve never ridden a bike with that setup but I’d be curious as to how long it takes to get used to.

It certainly take some getting us to, and then we you go back to a normal set up you are reaching for the shifter!

Just like the old forklift deal where you activate your left turn signal for reverse. Haha.

That is exactly right! I also have one of those new Honda Trail 125s auto clutch and a four speed. Sometimes I'm all out of sorts.

Took a ride yesterday. Did 375 miles around the state. I’m amazed at how comfortable my bike was for the first 5 and a half hours. Maybe I need a better seat and suspension. Loved the over 60 mpg.

I got the factory seat with my used bike too. I think I'm gonna get a low seat concepts and throw it on. Then maybe do the Kouba lowering link once I get the Rally Raid suspension.

As of now, the suspension is so soft that I can one foot, but once I replace the susp........I'm pretty sure I'll need the lowering link.

well today was a fun ride into work! my klx was low on fuel and i knew that but i wasnt to far from the gas station and i had reserve so i really wasnt worried about it tbh! buuuuuut it turns out my reserve isnt working... as i was riding along i felt the bike chug for a sec so i switched it to reserve because i was about 2miles ish from the gas station so i wasnt worried but the bike completely shut off and wouldnt start it tried to but it wouldnt so off i went pushing my bike..... got to ride down a hill! but that was short lived as it was a bowl and i had to then push it up a steep hill and made it to the top walked about half a mile and saw a dude working on some old ford drag car and asked if i could just have a tad bit of gas to see if it will start? the dude was super friendly and use to race dirt bikes and came over and took a look at my bike for me and gave me some gas! we couldnt see any issue besides the fact the reserve wasn't working for some reason but we could hear the little bit of gas down in there??? i offered to give him some cash for helping me but he said no need to worry about it and have a good day! i was late to work but i still made it in thanks to him!

thing i learned is dont trust the reserve on a 19 something year old bike!

Never had that problem on bikes that are 40YO + . Maybe take the petcock off and see if the reserve inlet is plugged with crud. The only style of petcock I've come across on multiple bikes is where there are 2 openings for fuel coming into the petcock, the opening or inlet for the main, or "ON" position, and the "Reserve", which has an inlet that sits lower in the tank. Sometimes the on position has an intake pipe that sits vertically in the tank and won't allow fuel to enter the petcock once the fuel level gets low.

i also agree ive never had an issue with one doing this either on 80s atvs and such so unsure

my petcock is interesting it has on, prime, and reserve im use to one that says off instead of prime

I had one of those issues when I first bought my CB750. The previous owner had re-coated the tank, but didn't drain out the excess, so I just had a brick of some kind of tank coat sitting at the bottom of my tank using up all of my reserve. I was about two miles outside of town, flipped to reserve, and got nothing. Luckily I broke down across the street from a local farm and found someone who let me bum a gallon or so.

Took me probably six hours of drilling and prying to get that block broken up, all through the filler hole of the tank. I was so pissed.

For your tank, my money is on the lower reserve hole being clogged with junk. Hopefully an easy fix or just removing the petcock and flushing it or something.
